I feel like this is the endgame for the DCEU. It makes sense considering the casting of an older Batman. Ben will age right into the role.

Who will they cast as Specter?

Karl Urban

I want it to happen, but I know they'll just fuck it up.

How? It's not like the story is too complex.

after the shitty setup movies

i dont want to watch them ruin one of my favorite comic archs

Rihanna

>How? It's not like the story is too complex.

Exactly. I can see them adding useless shit and just completely ignoring the book

This isn't Marvel.

>this
they've already introduced most of the important characters. The story itself is pretty simple even most plebs wouldn't be confused.

you're talking about the people who already ruined this

dceu not capable of anything halfway decent

C-come on it's not like they were really adapting it.

>This
Sucks that they pulled so much from it though. An actually DKR movie with an older Ben would've been cool to see. The animated movie was good but suffered from the low budget.

exactly and they'll add all types of bullshit to this

>that bulge
Every time.

Who would they cast as Green Lantern?

Idris Elba!

Nah, it's going to be Hal Jordan so no chance of that.

Kingdom Come is only popular because of its visuals at the end of the day. If they're not using Snyder or Miller they can fuck off.

It would be perfect for Snyder. He may not be much of a storyteller but he's a fucking great visual director.

And all the religious stuff would be right up his alley. Hell, he could make it so the priest from MoS is actually McKay.

Nathan Fillion is the only choice.

That would make a lot of sense. Plus would tie MoS to kingdom come nicely.

COMIC BOOKS ARE FOR CHILDREN

Too bad Marvel got their hooks in him

Hello 1950's upset parent.

So is Gotham supposed to be a prequel to the DCEU or is it in its own universe?

Make an educated guess.

>All those comic books
>Noone thought about properly adapting Sandman, Irredeemable or Lucifer
>Instead it's men wearing spandex always winning at the end

Sandman and Lucifer will never be properly adapted and I don't think anyone should even try.

That or Flashpoint works

>is now 45

That would have been a good call 10 years ago

Sandman would probably work best as a TV show.
I really doubt though that anyone would have the budget for something like that. Or a suitable actor to play the main character

Rickman when he was still alive. Not gonna work now, of course.

Flashpoint would be a great way to end it if they just said fuck it and decided to reboot the DCEU.

This is the only comic in existence better than Watchmen

I agree with this.

Peace on Earth when? BvS was almost that.

I've waited a long time to repost this picture.

Fuck, I wanna live on the Earth where this movie got made.

Keanu Reeves would be a GOAT Dream.

>better than Watchmen
Nope. But it's still gold.

Why can't they just be adapted as cartoons but geared towards adults more? It's weird that the average person likes crap like Family Guy, American Dad, Rick and Morty or Cleaveland Show but would probably turn their noses up at a well done animated DC universe with more mature themes.

>Keanu Reeves as Dream
You just want to see Keanu naked in a glass box.

Who wouldn't?
Seriously tho, he'd be spot on. Dream is one of those guys who take all the joy out of any room they walk in.

Does this look like a buzzkill to you? And who plays Death? Who's Constantine? Who's Lucifer?

>And who plays Death?

the role zooey Deschanel was made for

Watchman is wider; Kingdom Come is deeper. It is a matter of taste, I think.

Okay, cast Cain & Abel.

>death
Dunno. Maybe Ellen Page? I can't think of anyone else now.
>constantine
Keanu was great in that movie, but for theblittle knowledge I have of the character I think Constantine should be a little bit more lighthearted.
>lucifer
I think a younger Jude Law would have been fine.

Pls no bully, I tried.

Better than the Snyderverse

>he could make it so the priest from MoS is actually McKay.

Well we already cast Keanu as Dream, user.

That's pretty good t.b.h, what about the old guy?

I know, I was pointing out that he almost nailed Constantine but who we really need is someone a little more "happy", so to say, but I can't think of anyone. Maybe Brad Pitt like he was in Seven.

Brad Pitt? Eh. Gotta be a Britbong.

But he would look exactly the same, and when given the proper role he's GOAT.
Any other idea?

Not really. How's the guy who played him on the show?

Dunno, didn't watch it. Heard he's good.

Well not like he'd have a big role, just have him reprise it.

Just make him the priest from MoS like someone suggested earlier.

>tfw pirating 10GB rip of MoS for the evening
Going to be great.

Great movie. I notice something new every time I watch it.

>civil discussion thread about superhero movies on Sup Forums
Which Earth am I on?

>it's an undercover bizzarro thread

Trump's Earth.

This must be the work of an Enemy Stand!

The problem is that for them to do the kingdom come story line it would have to be the last film in the dcu, and there is no planned end point

Let a fellow dream.

They could always do flashpoint afterwards.

Apparently if the next few DCEU fails, they'll just resort to Elsewords to fill the rest.

Kingdom Come would be easy to do if that is the case.

Leave it to me lads.

Based Snyder would make it great.

Chris pratt

The setup movies, as shitty as they were, are necessary if they ever decide to do kingdom come. There are Wayyyy to many characters to introduce in a 2 1/3 - 3 hour movie.

I believe in based Snyder.

It's like this in every DC thread until the shills come in

What's the story?

>this
DC threads generally have pretty good discussions.

I'm sorry for this.

Super basic summary
In 2027 there is an apocalyptic conflict between the newer amoral superheroes and the old school Justice League.
Been awhile since I read it.

>Who's Lucifer?

CGI David Bowie or Tilda Swinton

Awesome

Kingdom Come is about the only DC non cannon story I can tolerate , the main line stories are just repetitive.

The Justice League has retired, Batman is still in the game but has gone full dictator in Gotham with robots. Kansas has been nuked. A new generation of metahuman start fighing each other all believing they are the good guys and the others are villains, because without the moral compass of the Justice League nobody knows anymore.

Sup comes back and shit ensues

Way better summary then mine kek.

switch out wonder woman and superman

All Star is pretty great

Gotham by Gaslight and Batman : Holy Terror are pretty decent.

I genuinely think he would do it justice if he did a 3 hour version of it.

What do people think of Peace on Earth? I thought it was surprisingly mature. But I don't read comics much. Giving Kingdom Come a download.

>Gotham by Gaslight.

I like you.

Forgot about that one and of course TDKR.

>tfw you come to the realization that this retard is going to recreate the Last Supper in the Justice League movie and you will have to go shoot up your local cinema because a you cant keep living in this reality

It's great if you're a fan of Superman. Anything with a "mature" sup is great basically, in the actual run he has a kid and he's married to Lois and I'm liking it so far.

Also I happen to think the following estatement is true:

Childhood is when you idolize Batman, Adulthood is when you realize that Superman makes more sense

For what?

Also Batman : The Cult

This sounds good

It is. One of the best Elseworlds stories.

Who are they going to cast as brainiac in the dceu?

Idris Elba

batman is meh, the rest is great
