T-they'll give Dune to him, won't they? :'(

T-they'll give Dune to him, won't they? :'(

>They say "Chris, you went to movies!" But I didn't go to movies, I went to film.
Bravo Nolan!

Denis V. Will get dune, he's already surpassed Nolan

I would be so very ok with this.
This is now the movie series I want to exist more than any other.

nah he's a fucking hack

give it to Synder

What if they gave it to Michael Bay?

Nolan would spend the first hour giving us a backstory explaining the worms the great houses.

Well considering the mini series Dune which came out in 2000 has a Dark Knight Rises plane reference, I can see it happening.

No don't
He sucks

You based this off what now?

It's either him or JJ Abrams.

is this an actual quote?

>JJ Abrams.
FUCKING NO NO NO GET HIM FAR AWAY FROM DUNE!

That guy fucking ruined TFA with too much action, fast pacing.

He would utterly ruin Dune.

Give it to Boorman or Villenueve

No jordo no dune

Herzog Dune! Make it happen!

For Tarantino

yeah i know the original tarantino quote

His filmography.

Baron Harkonnen, I'm Arrakis.

>fans complain that the prequels didn't have enough action
>fans complain that TFA has too much action

you're expecting mental children to have a coherent narrative user
cmon

Holy fuck that green screen is terrible

I'm enjoying these daily dune threads.

WE CAN REBUILD HIM

WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY

how many people in these threads have actually read dune?

TFA has many problems, but prevalence of action wasn't one of them.

...

The trilogy, yes. Nothing after that

>T-they'll give Dune to him, won't they? :'(

If they do, it will be the final conclusive evidence that there is no god.

I've read all 6 originals

I read the first 23 pages of Dune about a decade ago.
And I saw the Lynch movie on VHS at a mental hospital.

There's only one man for this job. One soul brave enough, original enough, and bold enough to conquer the enigma that is DUNE. To plaum the depths of how "radical" and "awesome" the 3D could be. The man with the plan, the C.G.I Guy, the character and plot annihilator, Zach Snyder.

Like all his other work it would be another shallow exercise in style over substance. The Snyder meme needs to end.

>style over substance
In a visual medium, style IS substance.

"Stand aside, gentlemen, I've got it from here."

>style over substance
>creates the most profound take on superheroes since TDK

literally lmao

Who cares? Dune is bottom of the barrel trash. Overrated director for overrated source material.

Get outta here /lit/

I'd watch that.

>showing Lynch movies in a loony bin

That'll turn out well ...

>the most profound take on superheroes
>profound take
>on superheroes
>profound

I was 12 years old and hopped up on 800 milligrams of Seroquel.

We also watched Stephen King's IT, though I wanted to, it was still terrible that they even had that as an option.

/blog

Bitch I re-read the series every year.

>nah he's a fucking hack
>give it to this other hack

Why would you give Dune, one of the most respected works of science fiction, to a comic book movie director?

>>creates the most profound take on superheroes since TDK
which, not surprisingly, still isn't very profound.

I think David Lynch should get a crack at Dune.

>have such an underdeveloped brain that you cannot grasp there being a middle ground
must be tough being you

>le fence sitter faec
eat lead big boy

That's right. Sci-fi should be mindless, cliche-ridden escapism. Originality and big ideas are for plebs.

Give it to Alex Proyas.

Dark City and The Crow-era Alex Proyas.
Not Gods of Egypt Alex Proyas.

It's his dream project.
