Didn’t this player end up being a scam and not even hi-fi audio player
Imagine sitting down with one of these in your pocket
it actually looks pretty a e s t h e t i c, but it seems like its gonna be a pain in the ass and impractical as fuck to use
Why is it Triangle shaped
Does it even scruble?
This. Wtf were they thinking?
...
What are some better options? Kind of interested, for some inconceivable reason.
just a phone dude get one with expandable storage and go crazy whilst also you know, having a phone
for me, it’s astell & kern
a fucking phone
Neil Young please stop shilling
fuck, this looks cool
never heard about the brand, so i presume its some buttfuck expensive shit like bang & ollufsen or whatever
Had one of these when I was younger.
holy shit, yes
were those types of mp3 playes popular everywher?im from fucking eastern europe and i had that as a kid
I live in Michigan and I just wanted an MP3 for Christmas one year and my dad bought me that. You can get them for like $30 at gas stations and shit still.
there were very popular with people that couldn't afford an ipod here
Can we just talk about how much of a fucking pleb this guy is?
LG V30
jej
i might actually be interested in something like this once my phone w a headphone jack gets phased out lol. I cant be bothered to fiddle w bluetooth / weird apple dongles.
The iPod came out in 2001. Why do people insist on reinventing the wheel? I mean look at that fucking thing. LOOK AT IT !!!
No, the issue people had with them was the design and price
The components are fine
>$2,499.00
what
>calling Neil Young a pleb
>reddit young
>not a pleb
ugh
>256Mb
I miss this lil' guy too ;__;
at this point pretty much any worthwhile phone other than the OnePlus has ditched phoneout, which is dumb but normies lmao
At least they remembered the ID3 tags for that photo.
>at this point pretty much any worthwhile phone other than the OnePlus has ditched phoneout, which is dumb but normies lmao
incredibly wrong
>иcпoльзoвaниe кpacных бyкв
Я oчeнь нaдeюcь, чтo ты нe дeлaeшь тoвapищa
He is wrong, but the industry is leaning int that direction.
iPhone and the new Pixel 2 do it, so expect it to become the trend among the higher end phones.
мaйкa ти pycкa дa eбa :^)
my nigga
That had such shitty storage and display
For me, it's Pono™
the design is absolutely terrible
>he doesn't like toblerones that play music
it's past your bedtime neil
more like past his lifetime
It's sad that the average age of this board is so young this will be the only thing they remember Neil Young by.
oh shit
fuck
I'm pretty sure your average serious music hobbyist knows who Neil Young is. Consider a gateway into music for many young people is Classic Rock, which Neil is often a staple of.
Pono sounds like the way a black guy would say Porno.
My mom used to use one of these a few years ago. Didn't figure it was popular.
their ak70 is only $400
It is a really weird word, to read and to say. It's fitting that to go along with a horrible design they come up with such a ridiculous name for it.
Mexican here, yep, I can confirm those were very popular ten years ago.
I think most poor-middle families had mp3 players they were much cheaper than the iPod on launch
I have an ak jr and love it.
what is the point of such a prominent volume control? Surely it's intended to be amped using line out
I have pic related but mine is pink. I replaced my little hifiman for it, I like the sound quality and the fact that you can play 24bit Flac files (which my hifiman could not). Pink ones were cheaper because nobody bought them so I got one, it even came with a pair of active noise cancelling earbuds. I might upgrade it in a couple of years.
It's funny to think I might want an mp3 again at some point since phones are getting rid of their audio port
Redpill me on why I shouldn’t
...
i have an iphone and it's a bitch to put mp3s on it.
had this, used to record episodes of family guy and south park with the audio recording feature to listen back to in the future
