downloaded this bad boy last night

I only know The Blue Hearts in J punk. What's song is good?

imo a "japanese music general" is silly since japan has such a diverse music scene, on par with britain, america, and any other developed country
but ill still post this very good artist

no idea havent listened to much. balzac is like a japanese misfits though.

I agree that. But popularity is not high like US/UK. So firstly I think, It would be better to make general thread that Everyone can join. This video is Cornelius wife's? Wow It's unique.

Why do japaneses like spanish so much?

i fucking love kidorikko

Fantasma is Spanish? Sound like attractive.
Many Japanese artist name a foreign exotic title to their work.

Fantasma is ghost in spanish.

Kidorikko…kidori means pretend in Japanese. This singer’s voice is little bit princess-kidori, I think lol.

Ghost!? I have thought it means fantastic. I get surprised. OMG.

Why Japan out of all the countries in the world? Wtf?

I frequently listened this pop album when I was teenager. aaarrrr akbaaarrr

Been listening to a lot of the cabs lately, great band. Japanese Math Rock scratches an itch that American Math Rock and British Math Rock never quite get, this weird blend of having some really poppy composition unlike the harder end of western math rock, and it gets counterbalanced by how unlike the softer math rock on both sides is something that gravitates towards emo, in Japanese math rock it seems to gravitate towards power pop - I just love it, it's very blood pumping and has a fair bit of dissonance without never seeming like it's impenetrable at first

What deep finding conception.
I like Toe and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
I try to take care of that point.

Because it's the third largest economy in the world and has a cultural output almost proportional to America?

I will go outside. I wish someone to check this thread won't lose.

Anyone recommend me stuff like Hiroshi Sato-Orient? pic related

Or any other good jazz fusion stuff. I like some city pop, the big ones like Taeko Ohnuki, but I wanna find more like Haroumi Hosono and Hiroshi Sato

This is pretty good youtube.com/watch?v=xgMD6efugcU
Japan has a whole bunch of upbeat and catchy shoegaze bands.

This is so good, I just like it. I feel flood of sound, and sense of float from this.

I like this song I guess

Very mellow. The end reminds of Robert Wyatt a bit.

I have known only Teresa Teng ver. of this song so far.
This arrangement is exquisite.
