I like the beats a lot. I feel like it is really hard to not sound like every other rapper but there are some sweet lines in civic. Synths are pretty cool. The vocals sound like one of those text to speech apps. its Interesting If this was a little tighter this would be a banger, it sounds like youre not super confident with your vocals, which you should! Drums sound great, I need to listen to more of whatever genre this is. I've heard this one before and I liked it ! Skipped around on your beat tape. Really nice stuff.
Preciate it man. Hardest is figuring out how to not rip off my influences. My producer, Kuvu, is crazy talented, just released his EP recently (linked below). Just got through yours and it's really fucking nice, gave me a lot of cool imagery.
>playing at kfn ok here's what you say after the first song "hello philly! we're droopies! we wanted to play at the el bar but they said we're not hip enough" launch into next song
Awesome and unique ambient that keeps it interesting throughout the album Very slow and silent, but when it picks up I like it Great mix and movement throughout the track, keeps it interesting while preserving the atmosphere. Instantly liked this, feels very personal and the recording quality is pretty good, it could mix more smoothly I think, the vocals sound too upfront to me, but maybe it's your taste.

I just got to philly, which one are you, do you have a practice space?
me: i think there's a big building in kensington where a lot of my friends' bands used to rent space. i haven't lived down that way since 2012. talk to kids from girard hall (if that's still a thing)

New Jersey Pop Punk/Alt rock Used to be called Best Regards but changed to Sell Yourself Short sellyourselfshortnj.bandcamp.com/releases Our debut EP was mostly recorded on a laptop and is a little shaky at times. We have a second EP coming soon with professional recording and production and I'm really excited about it. Live track: youtu.be/CyxOLUgmK4k

haven’t posted here in a while sorry, been busy finishing school. just put up a song i recorded last year, while i work on new stuff. nice to see you all again, as always, hmu if you wanna be friends.
Not bad, laptops are pretty notorious for shakiness. I would like to hear the professional project come out for sure.
I like the textures of the vocals overlapping and the way that they distort.

Looking for feedback thats constructive and focuses on things that could be improved on
I must be honest it is not my thing. I have a short attention span admittedly and I was waiter for more "broader and accessible" melodies to emerge. I found the 'scratching' part to be particularly unpleasant. sorry bro follow your heart
For whatever reason, it brought me back to the music of this UK british animation called 'Monkey Dust". I found it enjoyable in an unsettling way
Unique. Some 80s style dance vocals on that would sound good if I was producing that
You need to invest in better gear (I think so about myself too). It sounds cheap to my eyes and I dont think its an issue with your talent for arranging or picking sounds

it sounds like you are on the cusp but not yet found your own voice. theres no lacking in sincerity but not a lot of confidence in your vocal performance. Mix could be warmer imo
Nathaniel Perez
I'll take that as a compliment and honest constructive criticism. I still am finding my voice in some ways, and I know I have work to do. I appreciate the honest feedback and listen.
