I watched that movie a couple of months ago, and thought it was shit.
I mean, the production values were good, but the whole movie was just about Jesus being tortured. He's whipped and beaten for a third of the movie, then he's whipped and beaten while carrying the cross for the last third of the movie. He'd be dead five times over in real life.
Also, the evil characters, particularly the Roman guards, are so evil and exaggerated that they come off as cartoon characters.
Really wish they'd put in a few more scenes that actually focused on Jesus before his final days. The few flashbacks that were there were actually far more interesting than the constant beatings.

Actual born again christian here. the passion is a legit movie. Kikes and women usually bitch about how violent it is. but thats what it actually happen, and thats what Jesus Christ went through. It even shows Christ struggling with the Father. I thought it was a great movie, it does not cut corners on the slimmy kikes, it is a fair depiction of Christ. It is great that it also cuts to some of his teachings during his ministry.
For the 2nd part i hope he focuses on Christ resurrection all while taking cut scenes of events from the book of acts. Events that show their boldness, their faith, and their mission, that will be awesome
