What is the most soothing instrument?
By that I mean, which instrument is the least jarring? Has the most gentle, buttery sound?
The closest I have come so far is synthesised glassblocks put through a filter to further dull their sound. I guess I'm looking for a sound that phases in and out without causing any offence to the ear as a striking note.
