y tho

youtube.com/watch?v=VPDZkbq0Zp8

I agree it was shit
5/10

But it makes millennials feel nostalgia over a decade they didn't experience

Mostly shit.

It starts off good like most netflix shows then takes a nosedive midway through

>millenials
I know this words sounds as if it means a person born in the new millennium, but you really need to look it up first. And I do agree with you, I just wanted to tell you you have wrong concept of this word.

this

less shitposting more description dweebs

I didn't watch it far, but the problem I had with it was that they basically just lifted a bunch of plots from 80s movies. And it would be alright if they made some new spin on them, but they just copied those, and all I could do was just think about how I'd rather rewatch one of those movies instead of this clusterfuck.

Steve was unironically the best character to come out of it

i like the character even the especially the kids, and by the kids , i mean eleven

Agreed. I heard it was the best thing in forever. Watched it and it was solid 5/10 - weak writing, performances, story beyond the pilot, FX and so on.

Notice how nobodies talking about it now? It's because it was a flash in the pan and it's been dropped for the next shiny thing by the mainstream.

>It's because it was a flash in the pan and it's been dropped for the next shiny thing by the mainstream.

Let's call it the "netflix generation"

True. Honestly, I still cannot get over the hype over this incredibly bland series.

That was probably what turned me off. Everyone I talked to said it was the greatest show evah, and it wasn't even on par with Netflix's capeshit shows. Hype can quickly turn an average show into shit.

On par? I kept hearing it was better than anything Netflix has ever produced. I mean shit, they produced Bloodline, Daredevil s1, Narcos, House of Cards and so on. All leagues better.

It was good but I liked it that they turned certain cliches were they have an 80s nostalgia hardon for.

>yfw you will never get the girl

>ty for saving the day
>sry but you're still creepy and weird
I do have to give it points for realism.

>It's a millennial calls others millennials episode

millenial here. show was great..! 10/10
It's so fun to discuss great shows with Sup Forums

8/10, overrated to shit tho

only good part was soundtrack.
cool time period and setting, but writing, monsters were so dull

Never seen a plot degrade so fast.

Just salty cause of Chad Thundercock.

>it's a Sup Forums hates something popular episodes

James pls

>you have wrong concept of this word.
That's you buddy. None of the children in stranger things are millenials

>It's a millennial calls a millennial who calls others millennials a millennial episode

It was good, comfy even.

Didn't feel 'eighties' however and that's partially because it relied heavily on 'DUDE EIGHTIES REFERENCES LMAO'.

It is also yet ANOTHER case of the hype train crashing in to the Shill train and sending the show's worth asunder - I'm sick of internet culture and it's cabal of nerds acting like every big show is 'AMAZING, OMG IT BLEW ME AWAY' and making a damned Reddit essay post on how it changed their lives.

Tv, video games and movies aren't deep and they certainly aren't 'art', least not those produced today.

But I've watched a whole bunch of 80s movies so I got all the references...

A tough but fair analysis OP. Really well written and with amazing depth

>Really well written and with amazing depth
Just like the show!

yeah, the show peaked with 3rd and 4th episode and then just went to 'meh'

Show wasn't good to begin with.

It's for depressed middle-aged stay-at-home moms that are seeking a form of escapism which suits their sparse off hours from a part-time job which is required for them to keep them and their children afloat in their middle-class neighborhood.

>millennial
>people born between 1977 and 1994

Unless you're 40 years old you can shut the fuck up. If you are 40 years old you can GTFO.

I liked Winona Ryder, the photographer guy and the Sheriff. Besides them I didn't really like the show. Will not be watching the next season.

>epressed middle-aged stay-at-home moms that are seeking a form of escapism which suits their sparse off hours from a part-time job which is required for them to keep them and their children afloat in their middle-class neighborhood.

literally me

is 1985 millenial?

I thought it was alright, I wouldn't watch it again and I'm not excited for a second season

Tits or gtfo

It was shit. Dropped right after 1st act.

>millennial
>people born between 1977 and 1994
>He thinks that's what a millennial is.

>when tumblr gets killed off like 3 episodes in

plot is 7.5/10 but there comes ending and fucks everything up with winona and hopper in diving scafanders going shadowworld

It pissed me off there wasn't a good gore scene of the qt girl getting ripped apart by the monster. Also no fuck scene of her despite the actress being 18+. I wanted to watch her moaning in orgasm while the faggy kid who looks like Daryl from walking dead watches the whole thing like the cuck he is.

Was THE shit. Goonies meets Stephen King with dark synth atmosphere and nostalgia.

Make your quietus with a bare bodkin, child-coveting cur

i liked it

People talk about TV week by week while new episodes come out. They talk about movies for a few weeks while they are relevant. Netflix releases every episode all at once and so Netflixfags marathon (sorry, "binge watch") a whole season in a week(end) and talk about hours of product like it was a movie.

which star wars movie is this poster from?

New Hollywood is the only thing that needs a reboot.

Me on every point including being born in '85.

Show lacked balls.

same, i actually like it at the start, but then everyone else started to like it and it became popular so now i think it is also shit

Fuck you, it was the best TV this year.

>millennial
>denoting or relating to a period of a thousand years
We're all millennials you idiot fuck.

>Notice how nobodies talking about it now?

because they talked about it all summer and are now in the lull between seasons you fucking retard

>Watching a show/movie for the hype
Don't do this, it ruins the experience when people who didn't have people telling them it's the best thing ever, tell everybody that it's the best thing ever
I watched the show fairly early when it wasn't really popular, and then, everybody started talking about it, and then, late people watched it post-hype then they say it's overrated and mediocre
Stay pleb friends

it was good and you know it.

Is that a transgender boy?

this, i saw it with no expectations and was surprised how comfy it was.

yeah same, saw no hype and let it pass me by until a bit too many people had recommended it to me to ignore it.

thought it was much better then any other shit out these days.

this.

comfy as fuck

It wasn't shit, but it wasn't a masterpiece either. It was comfy and the cast (especially young actors) was really good. I liked it.

i just want to make love to her

I haven't watched it but it's fucking terrible

Sorry, but she's taken
Me on the right

I enjoyed it but when I saw that other people liked it I immediately changed my mind.

You're too late

I wonder what they'd do for season 2, it could turn to shit very fast

How many photos of Froggo do Sup Forums have?

Get yer own!

Dude shes ELEVEN lmao
