Will return with opinions when the thread fills up a bit.
Hey, thanks for listening, glad you've enjoyed "Seasongs" as it is!
Heard your stuff via BC thread. In regards to the "Trio" I have to say I was never a fan of hip-hop related music anyhow but I've enjoyed at least what you are trying to showcase with your music. Glad to hear a nice mix too which wasn't really a big surprise to begin with.
It's me: Collection of opinions entitled "God damn, the vocals!"
Work on the vocals my man. They are good and all but it's not the best performance you could have gotten imho. Especially on "Read The News" - they sound snarky and almost whine-y. I can appreciate "Head In The Clouds" but that acoustic guitar is a bit too basic. I mean, I can see what you are trying to do but making such an instrument more fleshed out rather than just a rhythm utility. Also, the electric sounds a bit out tune with your vocals on that track as well.
Again, the vocals, they are the ultimate killer of the track. I just can't hear your voice with the music presented, it sticks out way too much and it almost breaks the mood you are trying to do with a composition. And seeing how this composition isn't half-way bad I think you should really consider learning more in terms of vocals.
For what it's worth it's actually not a bad cover, however, the vocals could use a bit more work - they are a bit too far from the track mix itself and the effect makes the low vocals sound a bit cheese (but not enough to make it annoying or anything).
This needs some beat variety honestly, hi-hats are not filling up that much space on this track. Samples used are nice overall but I think that more of them would enable you to make a better soundscape for the rap itself. Though the mix is quite nice (maybe turn down the hi-hats a notch?) it suffers from the lack of sounds presented. Experiment a bit, because I can hear that the foundations are already there.
Power metal, just released this yesterday. I wrote it with my friend who plays guitar in the band. If you know of bands such as Helloween or Stratovarius, you might enjoy this youtube.com/watch?v=-VZh2oUK0Rc
Calm backround music I love that new track, energetic and fun Gloomy and atmospheric, it is for a certainw kind of mood Overall fun stuff with a lot of emotion
Excellent idea. Imagine this with vocals. Those I'd gladly supply! Listen and see if you'd like to collab. Also, try making...I don't know a song longer than one minute?
Way too in the background and edgy for me.
Not only is this a cover of a song, as a single ON BANDCAMP, but it's just a reverb echo chamber. Bring the vocals out my man don't be shy now. People love singing you know.
Trapwave I guess? Not bad. Could be longer? All tracks could be much longer with breaks and dynamic. Nice idea tho. I'm glad you have not gone for the typical 'I'm on fuckin' molly' trap rap shit.
I actually really hate this type of singing. Otherwise music is lovely. Chill and very nicely mixed, although maybe the stereo panning is a bit much...just personal taste. Huge Vimpire Weekend vibes. A band I kind of really never got into. Like, I was so grooving on Fraction Of Me but vocals ruined it. Want to like this.
Ok now for my shit after all the vitriol I dished out for free. HAVE AT YOU YOU SWINES:
new album coming soon. gonna drop some feedback in a sec

listened to dance: Like the idea a lot. It has a nice melody and its short & sweet. You also have a very sincere sounding voice which conveys emotion extremely well. Overall I liked it. I feel like the rhythm guitar gets sloppy and off tempo at times however. Clean that up and its an excellent little track. 7/10
production sounds incredibly clean but still obviously homegrown. Absolutely love it. this whole first minute is gorgeous. Most really drawn out stuff in Sup Forums musician threads here are tedious and forced. This sounds natural. Only thing is im not exactly liking the vocals. I appreciate and respect the odd approach to them though. I could see a lot of people liking them. Maybe if you'd just bury them in mix a bit more. That xylophone sounding instrument in the end is beautifully haunting. definitely worth checking this out. keep at it, I think you are onto something. Not a fan of the artwork either though. 8.25/10
Right, can you point me to some songs it sounds like then? I mean besides the song it's covering itself. Production wise, what other shoegaze song does it sound like?
Charles Stewart
I cant directly point out who might sound like this, but i have been inspired by experimental beat makers like Arca and Ash Koosha. And yes it does have a shoe gaze feel to it, I would say band like Nothing and My Bloody Valentine . Thank You

wow I gotta say I didn't expect to lime this one as much as I did. Sort of like a more grounded Yeasayer with less focus on electronics and more focus on funk. Vocals are passable, I could take or leave them, but overall I like it. Will download.
This is my brothers band Diner Food, this album is their first and they are working on a new one rn. None of the guys use Sup Forums, so I thought getting all of your feedback would be good.
the first beat-type track ive ever made, what you guys think?
this is hard as fuck holy shit stellar work user

awesome man, glad to hear it! happy you picked up on the funk tinges within the song. I'd been listening to a lot of prince and james brown when i wrote that one. im really working on my vocals. they have certainly improved over the past 2 or 3 years. maybe you'd like our album from last summer called Foreign Breath. It's more rock and shoegaze oriented.
