>listen to a song
>imagine I'm playing it live in the talent show

>listen to an album
>imagine im doing a collab review with Anthony Fantano
>imagine arguing with him and him eventually admitting im right and seeing my points
>listen to a song
>imagine i'm playing in high school
>song is aggresive, relentless and sharp
>everybody is shocked at my amazing interpretation
>my mature english teacher with the big tits and ass that used to give me class feels attracted towards me
>my current sexy slim young english teacher that gave foot teases at class is also attracted
>They are both ephebophiles.
>Having such a high opinion of yourself that you think your autistic day dream wins and nothing can top it
go fuck yourself asshole
I think for most people ITT this fantasy is more of an ego thing than a "I want to actually be a musician" sort of thing, which is why this is so frequently in the context of a high school talent show and/or in front of their crush. I think it'd be safe to assume most people in this thread have low self esteem, or they were a loner in high school, etc. These people have this fantasy because they wish they could have wowed people and been cool or something, not because they want to make a serious career out of music.
