Absolutely this
Seinfeld theme
The Cure - Sinking
stoked to see peter hook next year, he's performing at a club owned by the company i work but idk if i can get free tickets/guest list because the club is closing in january and we're all getting laid off lol
performed a joy division cover gig at an erotic art exhibit one time
At first I thought this might be The Sinister Ducks with Alan Moore and David J when I saw Quack like a Duck and the way the lead singer looks.
I wish he'd put out some new stuff, already. He's been humping that back catalog and throwing shade long enough. I always liked the recorded side projects he did. Monaco and Revenge were good fun. I never heard Freebass but I image those basslines would've been off the hook (heh).
Pretty much everything that Simon Gallup plays on is great.
This. And Nightcourt. And Barney Miller.
Kyuss - Space Cadet
Easily my favourite.
Modest Mouse has tons of great basslines
dukes of hazzard theme has some THICC playing as well
This one from The Smiths

I was just baiting for a response, but you answered suprisingly civilly and politely, and I feel bad now 2bh. But yeah, Geezer wrote some killer bass lines in Sabbath.

Nub - The Jesus Lizard
Heart of the Sunrise - Yes
Move the Crowd - Eric B. and Rakim
Trigger - Converge
Guns of Brixton - The Clash
The bassist was the only one with any talent desu.
>The bass in 21st Century Breakdown
>Never leaves second fret on Know Your Enemy
You can't Quit Me Baby is fucking excellent
Jamiroquai.
End of thread.
anything before warning.
Fascination Street
Stranglehold has a bassline somehow better than it's epic solo

This song by the Spanish group Platero y TĂș has a bass solo intro, and then the bass takes an important role in the song.

Spinning in daffodils?
Does that song even have a bass line? Doesn't he just play the tonic on the 1 and 2, and leave everything else to the guitars?
Avishai Cohen and Jasper Hoiby cook up some pretty killer bass riffs.

These guys do some pretty cool bass lines on cello/tubax:
am i pleb for liking the bass line in voodoo by godsmack
It's really not surprising that Hysteria always gets included in the lists of GOAT bass lines, probably my favorite behind Barbarism Begins at Home
but where's the BEND
Yep. The baseline on Edit the Sad Parts is a personal favorite.
Domino line by casiopea has a jammin bassline, and a bass solo
youtu.be
Unorthodox behavior by brand x is also really great
youtu.be
DESU yea
>Anything by Rush
Yea
you are aware that the seinfeld theme is played on a keyboard, it is a slap bass sample, but nevertheless it is super fucking funky so its in a weird grey area for me
>not Heart of the Sunrise
The Pillows:
youtube.com
Is there even a bass in that song?
yea but the mixing is godawful
"Bassline" doesn't exclusively refer to bass guitar so I'd say it's fair to include the Seinfeld theme
The National Anthem, Radiohead.
only in dreams
Actually though, Modest Mouse songs are usually really good, especially on their first 4 albums. Eric Judy usually plays really high up on the neck (like the 12th fret) and the basslines are usually super catchy. Try Edit the Sad Parts, Dramamine, or Trailer Trash
Everything in Turn On the Bright Lights.
