no, not unless he seriously stepped up his game

I DUNNO, WILL YOU?

Maybe if he made a serious film. The passion is there and you can see it in his earlier stuff but he's now entirely devoted to AVGN and is doomed to forever make AVGN-related content.

He needs to go all out and find a project that will work both commercially and artistically.

All at once, if not he's fucked to the internet til he's dead.

Let's face it. James has shit taste in movies.

You may dislike Paranormal Activity, but they had less budget than James had for AVGN movie. And yet they managed to create a horror movie that was innovative and had huge box office numbers.

James with the same budget would never have managed to create something similar. It would've been a boring, "schlocky" gorefest movie that only appealed to his Cinemassacre fans. But it would not have any mainstream appeal, thus James could never break into the industry.

I think he's content doing what he does, more than you can say for the Nostalgia Critic who just goes from one embarrassment to the next (despite having barely any talent after working at it for years)

There's nothing innovative about PA my man.

No, but Mike will

needs to make a horror film. he has the passion and the dream phone/mr bucket board games are the best things he's done

I aslo love building bricks with minecrap

James' esoteric tastes in movies wouldn't really be an issue if he had filmmaking talent to back it up, but like you said, he had a pretty big budget for his AVGN movie and he clearly didn't know how to use it effectively.

he isnt protecting his pocket from ink leakage, how will he protect the money of investors?

appearances matter in this game

So making money is innovative? Are you a legit retard?

I know Sup Forums faggots don't read anything beyond article titles. This movie brought new life into found footage genre. I'm not saying the movie was good. I'm just stating it WAS innovative by combining ghosts and the found footage style.

Also:

>The real genius was in the way the film's distributors let the fans decide in what cities the movie would be shown. As the New York Times reported last month, Paramount, after initially releasing the film in 13 college towns, then set up a page on Eventful, that invited moviegoers to "Demand it!" in their town. As more and more "demands" rolled in, the studio gradually widened the release.

It didn't help that he used most of it on location shoots that he didn't need.

>This movie brought new life into found footage genre.
So it's literally caner, got it.

No

>"I'm glad to announce today that I will no longer do AVGN or Cinnemassacre videos and instead to direct videos for blacked.com and do some minor roles for them as well. My wife will also feature prominent roles in the studio, Mike will be leaving for bleached.com and 12inchmonsters"
