Imo fascism is pretty tricky, it relies on a strong leader as well as a strong state. If one of those is weakened the system begins to fail, Mussolini was a strong leader, but was killed before the war was over because the state was in bad shape. It's only useful for a transition to another form of government, because I don't think it's stable enough to last very long.

Monarchism is a little better because it takes both a weakened state and bad leader for it to fail, look at the French Revolution.

I'm tired so this may not be as helpful as id like, but it's my thoughts on things

The problem with absolute monarchy is that France was not at all a weak state when Louis XIV came to the throne, it was incredibly strong.

The way to work around that is to give nobles a decent amount of power, similar to how most democracies balance power so one doesn't get to strong, etc. The monarch would still have more power, yet the nobles would still be important

Even with nobility, you have to count on a good monarch to appoint them. If the titles are hereditary, you then are also counting on good traits being passed on intergenerationally, which is also unrealistic.
