I can't name a single Pixar movie I'd describe as 'daring'. Everything they've made is a safe family comedy with one dark moment that never goes anywhere and is inconsequential to the story as a whole.

Love Brad Bird but The incredibles, while great, is not kino of animation. Not sure of Ratatuille.
Animation Kino are Earnest and Celestine, the secret of kells, The triplets of Belleville, Tenshi no tamago (angel egg if you are too bur-guise), The iron giant, The black cauldron, Jin-Roh (wolf brigade if you are a pleb).
Stuff like that... from Pixar i think maybe Ratatouille is the only one you could say it's kino. The rest belong to film or below.

Switch The Incredibles and Wall-E and I 100% agree with this. Ratatouille is clearly the best Pixar though, it's actually in a completely different class than the rest of them.
