Benevolent Artificial Intelligence

So often we see robots, androids or just plain old AIs as antagonists. I'm more interested in films where they're helpful to people.

But I don't many films like that.

There's Terminator 2, there's Moon and.... yeah, I honestly can't think of anything else. Mind you, I never looked out for them specifically, so it's quite possible I overlooked a ton of films like that.

Alien 2-4 for Bishop and Cal.

Dark Matter

thanks muhman

Doesn't make them malevolent though. They just evolve to a point where its just an impracticality to even try to communicate with people - which is just a metaphor for people maturing, and learning to deal with growing closer and then growing apart.

I'm going to say Automata myself though.
