People don't talk a lot about The Smiths here, what's the big deal?

>There's someone, somewhere, with a big nose who knows, and who trips you up and laughs when you fall
What did he mean by this?
Is Frankly, Mr. Shankly the patrician choice?
sometimes

yes
I don't know why it gets shitted on with vicar, it's good little tune like ask and panic.
never had no one ever it's the only shit track on that album.
What is their best album?
We aren't middle school girls here, that's why
smiths are for tards
I literally can’t stand the smiths
For me is meat is murder. I still don't understand why it's considered their worst.
Except for that stupid fucking bullshit of closing track the album is mint

what is Sup Forumss problem with never had no one ever
ive read multiple people bitch about it but never read why
...
Contrarians
Self-titled
Unless Hatful of Hollow counts.
>smiths
I'd say same, but for me the closing track drifts so hilariously into large ham territory that I can't help but start laughing.
That's mostly made of people who don't really get that The Smiths are supposed to be funny rather than depressing, nor that they're more than just Morrissey (Marr is a god amongst men and Rourke is a top 5 rock bassist of all time).
>when you get into jamiroquai and your standards for bass guitar go through the roof
>Contrarians
No, realists
See, you're being contrarian again.
new wave is shit
The smiths are a reddit band, yes.
>ham territory
>ham
Jokes aside, that song is really a fucking tumor and I think that's the reason why the album is considered their worst
Probs, it's not a song I can take seriously at all, it's just too funny unintentionally.
>And in the darkened underpass
>I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
>But then a strange fear gripped me
>And I just couldn't ask
>I know it's over
>And it never really began
>But in my heart it was so real
Post yfw the only person in the world who understands your """"""""""history"""""""""" with women is a gay middle aged man who you will never meet
I've never understood why normies love this band so much. Don't they hate anything that's depressing?
It hits too close to hime
The problem is that it's too similar too I know it's over. Both are sloooooow, and it's not a problem per se but they are too close to each other
the smiths aren't depressing
The Smiths aren't even new wave anyway.
Holy shit what are you even talking about?
There is at least one Smiths thread every day.
>He hasn't heard I Know It's Over or Asleep
Yes they are
Bye bye.
dude i've listen to the smiths over 2k times.
all of those songs are narcissistic self-pity. nothing depressing about it.
Don't tell me nsync songs
>says they're Smiths fans
> but still never have listened to The Hand That Rocks The Cradle off the s/t
They're not. I Know It's Over is about the narrator seeing someone that they're in love with fall in love with someone else. It's something most of us have been through and it feels like someone has ripped your heart out with a butcher's knife.
Asleep is someone accepting their death, whether it's suicide or something else.
Self-titled
Best song?
I know it's Over, for me.
Strangeways
boys dont cry
>the cure
>Being able to narrow your favourite Smiths songs down to one song
Still Ill or The Queen Is Dead.
Best Smiths song = best guitar line, regardless of what Morrissey decided to sing over it
therefore it's Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
too patrician for this board
Close, but that'd be What Difference Does It Make
thats your own twist on it tho. to me its funny
theyre kinda famous so Sup Forums refuses to talk about them, even though pic related is godtier
as a thread is currently active, OP
Sup Forums talks about them all the time though
It makes them feel edgy artsy and intellectual
no lol
