Geordie here, really the first I've heard of any Syrians in my area. There's a strong leave campaign going on and something like this would just give it a boost.

Maybe they were from Middlesbrough as ive heard tons of refugees have been moved there and the locals have been complaining as they cant get houses themselves while refugees go top of the housing list plus remember there was a scandal there a few months back with refugees having there doors painted the same color or something.

I remember seeing two very large military cargo planes passing near my house half and hour from one another since I live close to the airport. So they must've been bringing in the refugees around that time but it's quite unfair how we've got quite a large homeless problem in town yet the refugees can get a house no problem.
