Paths of Glory followed by Barry Lyndon.

I'm a fan of history so seeing Kubrick take it on is always a wonder.

2001

The Killing is fantastic too.

I love this poster. That face just gets more and more unsetlling

EWS was fine but people act like it's amazing, which I didn't feel when I watched it. Need to rewatch Dr. Strangelove.

is this the plebbiest thing one can say about kubrick's flicks?

You just posted it

It is, since 'Nam part is the superior one.

no this: is

Sorry boys, I just really appreciated the fact that he could make something so repetitive be so engrossing. The second half is also great but the first just has such a great rythm to it I can't help but love it.

>Is that you, John Wayne? Is this me?

Paths of Glory.

I cry like a bitch when they sing

I've never seen Path of Glory, is it as good as Kubrick's other films?

Killing is incredibly underrated.

My favorite is Eyes Wide Shut

You can come over to my house and fuck my sister

It is, watch it.

>not including "Hell, I like you..."

Maybe watch it and decide for yourself?

Sorry

i don't have a favorite kubrick movie

Even though are all quite good, why not?

literally the objective truth right there
Paths of Glory is the greatest war film ever made, and the only one (except Come and See I suppose) to really be fully, wholeheartedly, anti-war. Even TTRL couldn't achieve that.

Dr. Strangelove however is a film you fall in love with and stay in love with forever

>No, I'm a combat correspondent

>PoG the greatest war film ever made
That's Apocalypse Now, even though PoG is great.

...

I will concede that they are equal.

Imagine you were Cruise not being able to see your wife on set for 7 days, while also not being able to learn what she did there. That sailor sure was lucky.

Dr. Strangelove

I haven't seen Barry Lyndon yet
