There is a grand total of 2 Binary choices in the whole thing

I know VNs don't count, I just put it there for giggles, I couldn't think of a third thing that counts as a video game that I guess I enjoyed

been listening to Wish You Were Here too much lately to not include it
I don't get the appeal of The Fame over The Fame Monster

I'm fucking retarded and forgot albums
>David Bowie - Station to Station
>Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Your Funeral... My Trial
>Lift to Experience - The Texas Jerusalem Crossroads

dude he started out strong and got worse over time wonder why he stagnated hmmmmm surely its not cause hes only good at one thing and kept doing it but had to make it unique every time so he upped the ante one notch at a time til we're where we are today (white bois getting blown apart into red paste to the sound of rick ross)

I am not a smart person

I dunno, you kinda have a point
To me a hack is someone who "gets lucky" and releases an acclaimed work with significant help from others, then rides the reputation of their early work for the rest of their career (i.e. Ridley Scott, George Lucas)
You can definitely argue that Tarantino stagnated over time but his streak in the 90s was pretty unbeatable as far as crime/black comedy movies go, and he wrote all the screenplays himself, indicating a certain level of filmmaking talent

i love you man stay warm tonight keep the company of friends and family close and stay healthy peace

ayy thanks man
Sorry if I came off as a dick before
I love talkin' movies

I still wish they would've let Tarantino do the real Casino Royale "by the book" since he wanted to do a James Bond film strictly as Ian Fleming wrote it but it would not have been ratcheted up enough for today's audience. Kind of funny, in a way.

I cringe at the thought of what he might have chose as the soundtrack, though...

Not a Sup Forums or /lit/ guy so take that shit with a grain of salt

I like these

Top 3s aren't in any particular order

I still gotta check out the book. Whats that first movie?

I dig your music picks. You ever listen to Afterglow's self titled?

...

>Ridley Scott, George Lucas
What did you mean by this?

>overwatch
Come fill up my trap ass faggot, and I'll tell you how shitty that game is, k?

You COULD be patrician, but you still let emotions take the best out of you and use your preferences, specially your music preferences, as a fashion statement

You think things that sound beautiful and things that sound good and things that are well made are the same thing

>implying Pet Sounds doesn't fit all three of those categories

Ridley Scott is a style-over-substance director who never writes his own scripts, and even so, hasn't been able to make anything truly significant since the 80s (or at most 2000 if you count Gladiator) - he's basically been riding the reputation of Alien and Blade Runner for 30 years at this point
George Lucas can make great movies as a collaborator, but has shown through the prequels that he fails when left to his own devices - he's a great ideas man, but a poor filmmaker (THX 1138 and American Graffiti being the exceptions to this; he may have just lost his touch over time as many directors do)
At least in my opinion, feel free to disagree

nice albums and vidya
Vidya and lit is fucking top notch, god bless you for the tunnel

>he's a great ideas man, but a poor filmmaker (THX 1138 and American Graffiti being the exceptions to this
All of this is wrong, consider revising

It doesn't sound as good and as beautiful was how well made it is supposed to be

Are you saying that THX and Graffiti are bad films, or that Lucas is actually a great filmmaker?

Under 20 years of age

>THX and Graffiti are bad films
Much better

I've never liked narrative books and I never found something else that stuck with me as much as these anyway.
Lonesome,Like Clockwork and Blue I like them all the same
I think Hot Fuzz is kinda better but not quite as quotable or memorable, Shaun of the dead was the first movie that I ever watched fully in english, and was actually glad for that.
Bulletstorm is just plain fun, Burnout also and JSRF is awesome, period.
I also played a shitton of CoD zombies, that was also fun. Not that you care at all.

I care, good insights

Stone cold stunner
cute

Braindead is too good, definitely in my top 10.

Yeahn desu I thinl that Wright has peaked as a director on Scott Pilgrim. I watched Shaun and hot fuzz back to back, stsrting with Hot Fuzz, and noticed how much more cohesive and driven was the plot in the former, I guess Wright and Pegg took stock of their "mistakes", but then again, the errors were tropes commonly found in lesser horror flicks. And to this day, I have not found any better parody i.e. if you watch Cockney vs Zombies you just realize how much talent Wright has and how hard it was to actually pack a great movie. He then peaked with Scott P. but World's End just was kinda disappointing and became tired on the last half. Baby Driver was better but it's clear that Pegg did the lion's share of comedy writing. That or they both aged too much.
I like heist movies and ocean's is on the better side of quality.
Man I really miss binge-playing map after map after map of Zombies all night long.

Name of top album?
Also genre

Flood by Boris

This and the genre is more or less post-rock/drone-doom. Its one of those long (70 minute) single track albums

>doesnt recognize boris
You've been here for less than a year right

Recommendations baste on taste?

Actually I asked because I knew I saw that before and I remembered it was something japanese. And no, unfortunately much much more than a year
Thx bois

>Yeahn desu I thinl that Wright has peaked as a director on Scott Pilgrim
For me its Hot Fuzz, but that's probably cause the small town aesthetic hits so close to home.
> I guess Wright and Pegg took stock of their "mistakes", but then again, the errors were tropes commonly found in lesser horror flicks
Nah those errors are very much deliberate.
>Pegg did the lion's share of comedy writing
Have you ever seen Spaced? Its a television show. I assume you probably have but Pegg writes and Wright directs and its very good, can recommend

I have not much time for tv shows, even though I saw some excerpts online and can confirm that his style was there, definitely. It also reminded me of snatch, as now comes to my minds that I like it a lot more than ocean. The one thing that all those movies have in common is the rhythm between the scenes, a character which I also like in music. Santa maradona it's italian, it was the breakthrough role for De Rienzo (he won a David) and has a fresh take on unemployment and being lost in life soon after university. That is, where many of us (me included) will kinda be in a few years' time.

watch El Topo my dude also rather obvious but try reading Murphy by Samuel Beckett
god bless u sav
soz, modernism is all i know
your taste is rather great but something on here makes me think we wouldnt get along politically...

Seems like only the minority of Sup Forums actually read books

>only a minority
Most people here have books listed.

what is that top manga I can hardly make out the katakana
Tsuno-something?

Imagine if you switched that column with video games

tsubasa

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.

You seem really cute user! Kinda want to pin you down and softly hug you. That aside the Enigma is hilarious, love "that hole is for me!" after seeing that Sup Forums banner for so long. Brother used to always talk about the Human Centipede, not my kinds of thing. Have you played other Final Fantasies? Would recommend listening to the Autocollants and Bo En by the way, comfy short albums.

Thanks! Could use a few hundred hugs. In hindsight I should've had the filename be "this home is for me" or something similar. I haven't played any of the others, but I know a fair amount about 7 and 8. I'll check them out!

That's because Sup Forums is mostly underage

Reading books for the narrative is dumb anyway. Dante said there's four levels to reading, and narrative is the first and most basic.
