>A United Kingdom

really makes you think

cuck

A United Kingdom is not best of anything material. Utterly middle-of-the-road. He's only listing it because of the lovey-dovey relationship Assante has with himself and Mayo on the BBC show.

patrician af desu

Am I a clueless pleb for not knowing any of these movies or is he just picking cool hip titles just so he can namedrop them at fancy dinner parties?

Only heard of Embrace of the Serpent and it didn't catch my interest.

It's the kind of movies he watches and likes. Not everyone watches capeshit and mainstream Hollywood movies exclusively. That's a good thing.

Honestly his list is great(remove A United Kingdom), also I haven't seen Notes of Blindness.
Personally you should watch Son of Saul, was one of my favs films of the last year, he has it on his 2016 list because it recived a release in the UK untill few months ago.

The Neon Demon confirmed kino

>1. Under the Shadow
HAHAHAHAHAH

I'm a Nu-male:The list

>Son of Saul
Saul Ausländer, a Jewish–Hungarian prisoner in the Nazi extermination camp Auschwitz, works as a Sonderkommando member. he must salvage valuables from the clothing of the dead, drag their bodies from the gas chambers and scrub the floors immediately afterwards. One day, following the gassing, he comes upon the body of a boy whom he recognizes. The boy is somehow still breathing after having been gassed. From a distance, Saul witnesses a Nazi physician methodically suffocating the boy to ensure his death and ordering for an autopsy. Saul impulsively comes forth and insists on carrying the body himself to the Hungarian prison doctor, Miklós. He is able to convince Miklós to not perform the autopsy as he intends to give the boy a proper Jewish burial, for which he needs a rabbi.

Are you fucking kidding me guy?

>1. “Toni Erdmann” (Maren Ade)
>2. “Moonlight” (Barry Jenkins)
Is this a fucking fake list lmfao

They are just Cannes nominees in different order, it's such a blatant lack of attitude

The Cannes establishment has to be fought with something less filled with middlebrow melodrama

Son of Saul was such a turd piece of shit outside its last 30% and sound design.

god the gimmick got fucking boring in the first 15 minutes

dude we just closed our eyeysss

what's in your top 10 from this year? inb4 ''Hacksaw Ridge or Civil War''

Hell or High Water should have been on any top 10 of the year list.

Hacksaw Ridge is better than Erdmann or Cucklight though.

Mediocre rehash of the same old robbers story is top10?

You have low standards.

I bet you faggot don't even know Perfect Sense which was far more ambitious work from the director.

One of the best films of 2016 but libcuck virtue signalers wont ever admit it.

Who cares. When is based Chris Stuckmann going to list his MOTYs?

...

>No capeshit in sight
>Appreciates good anime

Based Kermode, a true patrician critic

I'm sorry,who?

...

I think you got that wrong. You are here parading a mediocre heist film as top 10 material.

where the fuck are the screeners???

>this film got Trump elected
kek

lol no.

...

What's remarkable about the last act? I stopped reading after the first paragraph because it reads like the spiritual adaptation of the ultimate oscar-bait copypasta.

>>The Sound of Life (2017)
>Directed by Steven Spielberg.

>During World War II, Noah, a closeted homosexual Jewish musician, is sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp for challenging the Nazi party, and dedicates himself to protecting a young prisoner, Sira, while also reconnecting with his childhood friend Hugo, now a Nazi soldier also struggling with his homosexuality. As the Holocaust looms, Noah decides to write a final piece to leave as his legacy.

bump.

>no BvS

fuck this fucking guy

>4. Son of Saul
Good goyim

So fucking hype for Your Name.

Is it a sequel to the Wire?

Kimi no Na Wa made the list, nice. I hope it wins the Oscar for best animated

>implying anyone in the Academy watches anime

It would be a travesty if it loses or doesn't get nominated. It's really the best animated film of 2016

>I hope it wins the Oscar for best animated
Disney will win and you know it.

It's gonna suck

>no Warcraft

dropped.

seen toni erdmann recently, and can confirm it's a great film. Lots of bittersweet laughs, and melancholicness.

>Am I a clueless pleb for not knowing any of these movies or is he just picking cool hip titles just so he can namedrop them at fancy dinner parties?

He's a film critic you stupid faggot, he watches films.

this gave me aids

>13th

what

that's not even a movie and it's bullshit

> I, Daniel Blake

TORRENT

WHEN

>13th
>A United Kingdom

Wow, I'm surprised he didn't put Loving and Queen of Katwe on there.

Wait, no I'm not. Mark hates American comedies and dramas but loves any schlock with a FotM sociopolitical message

>no Batman v Superman
Fucking pretentious cuck has shit taste, no surprise there!

>=19. “Victoria” (Sebastian Schipper)
IT'S SHIT

SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

no it was shit. frenchies love shit.

True, it totally correlates with their body odor.

The handmaiden is nowhere to be seen in any of the lists here

Those are all judenschwein oscar bait and racemixing/white genocide propaganda.
WTF?! I used to like that faggot.
Also Handmaiden and Arrival not even on that list.
Into the fucking trash he goes.

He was really fair with Warcraft considering how little patience he has for video games and action schlock

Still haven't seen Your Name, but there's no way Shinkai-shit can be that good.

>Those are all judenschwein oscar bait and racemixing/white genocide propaganda.

For such a buzzword sperg out, you certainly love gookcrap

He's no better than your local newspaper critic.

He has shit taste, and is a hardcore lefty cuck.

Scaruffi and White are the only critics worth noticing.

Kermode is just a reverse capsehitter. He is equally cancerous to cinema.

Room was great though

>Am I a clueless pleb
Yes.

>9. Your Name

Anikino confirmed.
