Pierre of Sudan
Skyfall tried to homage it with Silva's intro but it feels so flat and small-time compared to the original.
I love Lean but Leone is the absolute master of iconic character introductions. The ways he stretches time to build tension and mystery, creates atmospheres, uses leitmotiv themes, lack of dialogue (show, don't tell), etc. The beginning of TGTB&TU is also a perfect example of this, three long perfectly-crafted iconic scenes for all three characters.
I wish more filmmakers used this style of epic, slow-burn yet grandiose filmmaking.
Walken's intro in Cimino's Heaven Gate also comes to mind.
Milius' Conan turning the wheel.
