all hail based Craig

I sincerely hope Geoff is sitting somewhere in Craig's house right now, or at least Grant Imahara's. He doesn't deserve to be locked away gathering dust in a corner of the CBS studios.

goat late night side kick

>it will never be a great day for america ever again

>Careful, Icarus

;_;

yeah i got a place there

>implying new tweetmail jingles weren't the most hype thing

MY NAME IS SCOOTER was the best one, along with HORSE

I didn't realize Beth the CBS Executive is on Ash vs Evil Dead now

HERE COME THE PLAYAS

Larry King voicing Geoff was a great episode.
youtube.com/watch?v=Zyt64atjBMw

fuck, this really was the last best hope for late night tv...

Geoff was always funny, but he was at his best when he only said two-four lines per episode instead of having full-on conversations with Craig

Oh my god thank you for this. I forgot all about it. Haven't laughed that hard in a while.

That explains so much...

Poor girl though. They really wanted her character to work but she just awkwardly didn't. She was pretty hot, just not the right tone for the show.

How did he give this up for Celebrity Name Game?

I always thought that show was just something for him to do till his non-compete clause ran out.
Of course he hasn't done anything since so who knows.

>trump wins
>"it's a great day for america"
>crowd boos
What would he do?

I miss this show

ohhhhhh, THAT'S what Trump meant!

Wasn't a choice. Letterman had complete control of the 12:30 slot on CBS as per his own contract. Once he retired, that went away, and CBS was able to get rid of Craig

I thought Craig wanted to leave like a year earlier and CBS payed him a huge amount of money to stay on for that last year

>You deserve a better timeslot
>leaves to host a game show that's shown after the 5 p.m. news

Craig deserved so much better

He would laugh and challenge the audience and turn it into a bit. Craig could cope with anything

Unfunny shit like this is why CBS didn't give him Letterman's show.

He'd introduce a Trump hand puppet

Quads checked for Lex.

Craig was the late night host we needed. Now we have the ones we deserve.

Oh shit. I'd forgotten that. Thanks for the laugh, user.

Oh Jesus Christ. That one nearly killed me.

Is the joke here that Larry is terrible or do people actually enjoy him?

>tfw craig hasn't had an interview with his old friend peter capaldi since he became the doctor
>tfw craig won't star on doctor who while capaldi's still on it

But it'll be a great 4 years

The joke is that he's totally unaware of how much he just rambles.

ASSMODE

>tfw I'm in assmode

>Craig has it in his contract that he will have priority for Letterman's Late Show slot once Dave retires.
>CBS say fuck it, give him a $16 million severance pay and get Stephen Colbert because they want the reddit audience
>The Late Show ratings are shit now
>Craig is now doing some obscure game show on syndication

You had one job.

schedule for taping late-night-shit is pretty crap when you got a family.

Does anybody here watch Craig on his Join or Die show? Is it over already?

>that final opening

literal perfection

youtube.com/watch?v=iGdzxDsOgYs

I honestly teared up

>Last guest ever
>Jay Leno

I mean, Jay was fine on the show, but why him?

Didn't Craig have a new series coming out?haven't heard anything about it

he had a new show called Join or Die but I haven't heard anything about it.

there are a bunch of clips on youtube.

Kristen Bell was 9 months pregnant when Craig had his last show so she couldn't do it (i think her child was born just 1 day after).

Larry King was on the third-to-last show or something like that.

Anyway Leno was okay, would have preferred one of the others though.

Also, based Craig taught me how to hit on chicks, wish I had the accent.

>Amerislobs chose current year man over Craig

Useful fucking plebs, thats all they'll ever be

Her fellow Brit Hayley Atwell begs to disagree.

youtube.com/watch?v=RdoehLWIpA8

> based Atwell on based Ferguson

It doesn't get any better than this, folks

It's fun but way too short to have any kind of good conversation about history.

I dunno, I'm kinda glad he didn't move to Letterman's slot, there's no way they would have let him be as off the wall as he was on the Late Late slot.

Who came first?

There was a youtube clip of Craig gave an interview somewhere like local news ...

He mentioned that he enjoyed interacting with the audience more than the celebrities on his show; because it was real and not some promo setup deal.

this is also why he leaned towards the celebrities that don't have anything to promote and are usually there just to have fun and often ... mayhem.

(Interviewer mentions Kristen Bell, Jay Leno, Robin Williams, Joel McHale, Rza).

Craig adds others like Matthew McConaughey and Sandra Bullock as A-listers coming just to have fun.

He has a say as who comes on as a guest, but not always; Worldwide Pants and Dave (Letterman) do not dictate anything as far as guest BUT the network does ESPECIALLY when promoting a show (Survivor, etc.). And audiences and viewers notice the awkward moments A LOT.

*****
So, it seems like Craig had enough of being behind THAT desk.

Well at least Celebrity Name Game is a good show.
>I will be the clue giver
>starts doing a ridiculous dance

True. Two years earlier.

The NEW studio was part of the incentive to stay put.

CBS wanted him to stay. Leaving was Craig's choice.

Julie Chen and husband (CBS President) are very close friends and remain so.

God, I loved his interaction with guests.

I go here when I feel like going assmode:

Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson Archive

youtube.com/channel/UCyGzp9qxI4tJqXT62h54CTg

Craig's show was the only late night show that actually made me laugh.

youtube.com/watch?v=A_0qohmfQAs

>Band has two drummers

>there's no way they would have let him be as off the wall as he was on the Late Late slot.

This. It was so much more fun seeing him just be Craig and do things that he found entertaining than the pre-packaged stuff with celebs meant to be uploaded to Youtube and go viral that seems to be the norm with late night now.

talk shows have been on that level for as long as they existed, son

Craig, Geoff, Shado, and the horse re-united on CBS' 2014 April Fools show for Price is Right

>tfw he gets the new snake cup
>he throws the old cup to the ground
>"im a little turned on right now!"
the guy wasnt young or particularly handsome but he just had so much sheer charisma, is incredible how everyone threw themselves at him
