song by song: let love in
for me: tender prey
If we're going for song by song it's definitely Skeleton Tree.
anything that's late 80s to mid 90s. makes me want to go hiking in the mountains for some reason.
Personally I can't go past No More Shall We Part, flawless from start to finish.
it drags on way too long, we came along this road isn't necessary, too many "nick cave sits at the piano and whines" songs that aren't as spaced out as well a The Boatman's Call. Oh My Lord is very very good though.
give me 1 (one) bad song on let love in.
distant sky is carried by else torp and really doesnt work as a song to come before the s/t track
>too many "nick cave sits at the piano and whines" songs
Which ones in particular? I feel like every song is at least good work, if not fantastic.
>and no more shall we part
>sweetheart come
>we came along this road
>gates to the garden
>darker with the day
other than we came along this road, I find all of these songs good. But they get super, super repetitive.
Henry's Dream for me
The answer is clear
Anything by the Birthday Party.
i really love skeleton tree
What moron is behind these ratings
>White Lunar
>None of the soundtracks
>Abattoir Blues that low
>Nocturama above literally anything else
>Implying Kicking Against the Pricks, for all its flaws, is worse than Nocturama
>Hur 'The Boatmans Call isn't objectively at least a 9/10 record'
>Let Love In that low
>He doesn't get Push The Sky Away
>Too dead inside for Skeleton Tree

O Children
I don't listen to Skeleton Tree because it's too sad.
Tender Prey for sure.

Listen to the Birthday Party!
Nick is such a beautiful dark artist. And Tracy Pew is such a dark raw bassist.
Junkyard is the best album. I love "She's Hit" best.

His ratings are harsher for newer records, so 6/10 for Skeleton Tree is a 7-8/10 by 80's standards.
I touched Nick Cave's face once.
this
Did any of his powers seep into you?

Is this the best live recording of Jubilee Street?
Give us a Kiss is obviously the best song.

I hope so.
I saw him live in June front and center.
Such a visceral experience.
yeah warren is better here
>Too dead inside for Skeleton Tree
I listened to the entire album once. The death of his son was so tragic.
>Higgs Boson Blues

I only listen to his emotional stuff every so often.

why doesnt anyone ever talk about from her to eternity? it is by far one of the best rock records
Didn't he write the album before his son died?
I felt sick reading about his death though, he was a cute kid. Nick's wife is smoking hot too.
it was boring as fuck
>Didn't he write the album before his son died?
yeah i think a lot of it he did write before but there are definitely lyrical moments that are in direct tribute to it. The documentary about the process of recording makes it seem like some songs were axed and replaced although its not clear which ones those were.
WRONG
murder ballads
Your Funeral My Trial is my favourite.
Best thread in days
I don't want to agree, but The Good Son is actually a good shout.
