all of his work is avant garde. think about it

/thread
that's his best album

both is good

Jordan, shut your fucking pseudo-intellectual trap

a tusken raider sings in Joslon and Jones and it makes me chuckle

I've only listened to Scott 4 because a friend rec'd it.
How good is his other stuff?

Imo all his stuff is technically great, but honestly a lot of his really early stuff (eg. youtube.com/watch?v=umPno5AkZ5M ) is too normal sounding for my regular music listening tastes. And a lot of his later works are too weird for my NORMAL listening tastes as well. Scott 4 is the happy medium for me. I can listen to it all the way through in any mood.

All of his stuff is really good and he really just goes to show that an artist should always be constantly evolving and trying new things. Definitely worked out for him.

in his second newest album an angry donkey and a dead pig are an instrument
if weird and build up heavy music is your thing than you will love it

>avant garde work
I like his later work more. Definitely check this and The Childhood of a Leader once you're done with Bish Bosch.

>an angry donkey and a dead pig are an instrument
Oh god.
>if weird and build up heavy music is your thing
It isn't. Thanks for the warning.

Then check out some more of his early-mid stuff. Imo that's one of the great things about his discography - you can find something to fit virtually ANYONE's musical tastes if you just slide forward or backward (chronologically) in his discography. I mean, the fact that things like
youtube.com/watch?v=umPno5AkZ5M
and
youtube.com/watch?v=uo7Py7yArac
and
youtube.com/watch?v=nqYxce1QLIs
and
youtube.com/watch?v=yfeOzYmV-PI
all came from the same person is simply wild imo.

I'm listening to Lights of Cincinnati as we speak. This is exactly the kind of stuff I like. The super lush string sections.

Yeah, then I'd suggest looking into his pre-1970 stuff ('cuz there's LOTS of that.)

fucking boring if you don't like a literal screeching ass I your music

This is the only one I’ve actually listened too and I love it.

some of these have me in tears...
real nigga songs

Real nigga songs for sure. My favorite track is probably “NEXT”

Anyway, I want to listen to more. Where do I go from here?

Scott 3 ->2->1 and then 4
also go through his Walker Brothers albums after that.

I hate his walker brothers albums
they are boring and are all too normal

yeah, even he got bored. But I like Nite Flights.

No, it isn't. His fame with Walker Brothers rivaled Beatlemania.

...they're pop, what the fuck did you expect?

lol

Tilt > Climate of Hunter > The Drift > Scott 3 > Til the Band Comes in > Scott 2 > Scott 4 > Scott > Stretch > We Had It All > > The Moviegoer > Sings Songs From His TV Series >>>>> Bish Bosch

Is Climate of Hunter really that good?

no
nite flights/electrician is also better than everything except maybe tilt

It didn't, they just had a fan club that was very easy to sign up for. they were not even close to being as big as the beatles

"No!"

Yeah no. They were at some point bigger than the Beatles. At least in the UK and for a very short time.
