There people who defend michael bay's transformers

>there people who defend michael bay's transformers

There is nothing wrong with admiring the art of Michael Bay.

>[on shooting in 3-D]: Digital, no matter what people tell you, it's bullshit. They say, "Oh, it looks just like film." It doesn't look like film and never will. And it's like those people that are telling you are technicians. But I will be able to tweak film better than you tweak a digital image, because it just can't hold really bright skies to this black thing. You have to favor one thing. If I favored her, that would go much wider.

>I'm one of the few directors - it seems like a dying art - that actually shoot a lot in the camera.

>His most offensive criticism: Roger Ebert on Pearl Harbor (2001). He commented on TV that bombs don't fall like that. Does he actually think we didn't research every nook and cranny of how armor-piercing bombs fell? He's watched too many movies. He thinks they all fall flat - armor-piercing bombs fall straight down, that's the way it was designed! But HE's on the air pontificating and giving the wrong information. That's insulting!

Only newfags do, they also love Zack snyder.

If the movies industry was like the videogames industry then the Tranformers movies would have won a lot of Oscars.

>videogames industry

I enjoy them when the robots are on screen. The people are usually annoying, but the fourth one improved on that a little bit. I only hated 3 of the characters and one of them died early on so that's nice.

first one was kino

the second one is terrible
3 and 4 are mediocre but not insultingly so
first one was ok

You were kino.

I've literally never heard a single person say anything remotely positive about any of the Transformers movies after the first one irl. Is everyone a hypocrite afraid to admit that they love schlock, or is 99% of the movies' profit from the foreign market.

>There are people who think the biggest problem with Bay's Transformers is that they don't respect an old toy commercial enough

Transformers 4 stopped the movie to explain statutory rape laws for no reason.

It's clearly insulting.

I think the Bayformers movies are just cool to hate besides the first one, which doesn't get quite as much. I enjoyed all of them so far to varying degrees, but I understand how intolerable they can be.

Transformers 2 is patrician, pleb

>Spawn and Foodfight

If anyone lurking has ever wondered why people say Sup Forums is the worst board on Sup Forums, it's because of shit like this

What does any of that have to do with the Transformers movies? The guy likes to do things traditionally, use the camera themselves and be accurate with how things work in the world. None of that excuses how bad the movies were in general. The fight scenes were still a mess cause they all looked the same when fighting and the writing and humour was still awful.

You people are too easy.

can any oldfags explain how this contrarian bullshit like supporting shit like bvs and fucking transformers came to be? I mean it's not that funny.

>the board that defends capeshit trying to shit on Transformers

reminder that those movies all have better villains than any Marvel movie ever made

There are people who defend marvel.

it never stops, the bait never stops

4 is also extremely sloppily made. From the CGI to shot composition everything seems half-assed and phoned in more than the other Transformer movies

>implying it was bait

Michael Bay movies are always critically panned and yet most of them made huge profits at the box office

How does he do it?

>implying you're clinically retarded

Name a better villain from a Marvel movie

>implying I watched Transformers
I'm sure any of them is better child

Like with the star wars prequels, the silent minority is no longer being silent. Their arguments however are pretty weak and fall back on stuff that doesn't matter to the plot or characters which is where the flaws are. It's like you bought a sports car with all this cool shit and it turns out the parts that make run properly are in awful condition and someone with the same car in the same condition tells you to just ignore all that because it's a nice looking car.

He knows what people want and what we enjoy. He also knows we're a bunch of hypocritical faggots who take ourselves way too seriously and will go online and tell lies about how much we hate his simplistic explosion fests while we secretly go and see every single one of them.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRNING VIEEEEEEEEEEEEEETNAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>ignoring all the Sandler "movies"

He killed himself because he was an unfunny fuck and people still liked him. He couldn't bear it to love in this world

First one works. The robots appear in grades, there is still tension, there is a nice leitmotiv on technology, our dependence from it, the way we store informations etc. Balance between humans and bots.

From second onward, they only amplified what was wrong ('splosions, pervcamera on Fox, toilette humor, psycho Prime..). No likeable humans.
General catastrofuck.

You didn't like that general turned book-writer guy?
