Any love for Rush?

Does Sup Forums approve?

I love rush

No.

Hemispheres is probably my favorite album of all time. Rush usually flies under the radar here, but when they do get mentioned I generally see positive comments. Considering how much they love Yes and how Rush is easily the closest to something like Close to the Edge and Fragile in sound and quality you would think they would be more popular.

This is one of their best. La Villa Strangiatto is god-tier. Although that synth tone Geddy uses in the intro sounds corny as hell.

I fucking love that synth tone

I like to think that their corny synth sounds just add to the charm

Underrated 80's New Wave/Prog rock album. Same with Grace Under Pressure, both are spectacular.

This one could've been great but they dropped the Science fiction theme halfway through
wtf

Signals is my personal fav

Why does this album seem to be so underrated compared to other Rush records? To me it's easily their best.

I'm a huge fan of 70's Rush, but I have fallen in love with some of their material from the 80's. Red Sector A, Countdown, Mystic Rhythms

Ashamed to say that I've only listened to YYZ.
Dozens of times.

I've only listened to Tom Sawyer, what do you recommend for starters and to dive into next?

Yes. Rush is one of my top 5 favorite bands.

this

Listen to the album Permanent Waves.

From there, if you want more new wave/synth stuff go for Moving Pictures and Signals.

If you want more guitar heavy stuff, go for 2112, A Farewell To Kings, and Hemispheres.

Rush is my favorite band. I started playing guitar and bass because of them.

It's still great. While side B never hits the peaks of the title track its still got some solid songs like Passage to Bangkok.

Soyboy neckbear cucks: the band

what do you gain from posting this in every thread? why aren't you rangebanned yet?

Except the exact opposite.

Go listen to Kanye kid

I've heard it said that one should start out with Moving Pictures, and go from there. I personally started with Fly By Night and I turned out alright. Just avoid the first album unless you wanna hear discount Led Zeppelin (although, Working Man is pretty good).

During the 70s Geddy and Alex dressed like woman and in the process became hotter then any man or women could ever imagine because they were so confident in their sexuality, nothing is more manly then that

Title track is fucking amazing

I've listened to all their classic albums and stuff from the 70s, where should I head to now? What's the most interesting stuff they did after Moving Pictures?

just yolo the entire discography in order from moving pictures, even their relatively shit albums have a few great songs

My nigga

i like YYZ

Sup Forums approves of nothing

if it does then a week later it won't because muh contrarian culture

there are plenty of double-contrarians here tho

I like "bollene mine"
