I grew up in Los Angeles so it was Captain Kangaroo (comfy but dull), Shari Lewis and Lambchop(also comfy but dull), and even some Kukla, Fran & Ollie (barely remember them).
Best hands down was Tom Hatten who dressed like a sailor and shown classic Popeye, Little Rascals, 3 Stooges, George of the Jungle,Super Chicken & Tom Slick while dropping tons of lore about the shorts AND drawing cartoons out of squiggles kiss mailed him.
