He's "being himself" while simultaneously holding himself back.
The result is milquetoast material like this EP, which only satisfies the lowest common denominator. Lyrics were shit, production was one-note and songs ranged from passable/catchy (will he) to utter trash (Demons, Window).
His "serious material" required the contrast with Pink Guy and Franku to appear substantive and his decision to completely leave it/act like it never existed will only hasten his demise.
That, and 88rising will cannibalize itself when they realize a lofi 24/7 chill trap radio has nothing in common artistically with acts like Rich Chigga and Keith Ape other than le Asian man but black music meme, pic related

i like some of his earlier stuff but this album is really fucking boring. Which is a shame cuz i feel like there's a lot of room for expansion in the genre but all he did was throw a filter on some trap instrumentals and call it a day
