Visually and conceptually, Batman Returns was kino. But really, the script was utter shite, even though some of the quips were memorable, overall it's a comfy but forgettable movie.
Batman Forever is only worth checking if you turn your brain off. The amount of cringe is off the charts. Also Jim Carrey's Riddler feel more like The Joker rather than anything else.
I liked Elliot Goldenthal's theme tho

Yeah that's mostly what made it hard to sit through. Costumes and visuals were great, but the dialogue was just total garbage. Not even fun garbage, just garbage. And the pacing is weird as shit, to me at least.
