Bumping.

7/10
heard and liked 8 of them, and i see some stuff i still haven't checked yet but am optimistic about. never really liked war on drugs or fleet foxes.

also i just realised i forgot to put alex cameron on my chart and topsters2 refuses to render right now so here's the previous version.

I really need to update this considering there's 10 days left.

GT ULTRA is so underrated

anyone having trouble downloading their chart? My chart won't save for some reason. tried on different browsers too.

Nice charts ITT

yeah I couldn't get it working either. i just took a screenshot of mine

This is downright helpful because I haven't listened to this year's music so much, but I will trust anyone with Yowie up there. Didn't know they had a new release.

Out of the lesser hyped ones, big up for Moa Pillar too.

Molly Nilsson, Chelsea Wolfe and Machine Girl really lowered their respective rims this year though.

Litku Klemetti have international hype?

Nah I'm finnish t. OP

It's really cool to see a lot of smaller name releases I don't know in a lot of you guys' charts. I feel that since so many of the big name releases that are also often on top of sites like RYM or Metacritic were just so disappointing this year that it forced a lot of music listeners to really expand their taste and discover new stuff.

My AOTY of all these is probably What Passes For Survival or Neo Wax Bloom.

guys topsters2 wont render my top 100 list what do i do

That Bill Orcutt album was really great, is his other stuff very similar?

not exactly, most of his other stuff is acoustic and it's a lot more dense since he's not using amplification/ reverb so it's usually more wacked out and stupid fast

check this if you want an idea: youtube.com/watch?v=GVhZCEjfDlA

also here's a link i posted the other day with some of his live tapes and obscure releases if you're interested

Harry Pussy is vaguely similar

Weird thing to put singles as your picks, but I don't blame you, I can see why people could think Culture or DAMN. as a whole were underwhelming.

ok well here's my top 100. so many good albums i left out though i feel bad.

What a trashbag, dude!

I really didn't dig Iglooghost's release this year. Had a hard time with repeat listens, the album uses similarly written rhythmic ideas and it gets boring for me after Bug Theif (best track)

>DAMN on chart
dropped

here's mine

idk lol haha

I feel it's like a closer to the whole new generation sound that
- was born from LA beats, UK bass, footwork and netlabels
- gave life to witch house and seapunk
- brofisted with trap before trap got watered down
- got saturated with jersey club derivatives for a while
- put grime in a new light
- has been pushed to extremes by, say, Arca and Holly Herndon
Neo Wax Bloom has it all in one, and the production value is godlike. The sound is done now. 2018 electronic music will be tits

ok i'm not new but it's that parks n rec meme where it's been so long and i'm afraid to ask... where do u make these charts
