What's the most disappointing film you've ever seen in theaters?

What's the most disappointing film you've ever seen in theaters?

Atonement
Episode VII
American Gangster
Bruno

the first hobbit movie

Paul Blart Mall Cop
Paul Blart Mall Cop 2
Syriana

Paul Bart 1 was comedykino.

i went to go see x files i want to believe on opening day

jesus fucking christ fuck you chris carter, just fuck you

Gangster Squad. I walked out

What was Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 then?

thats easy

The Dark Knight Returns

Captain America Civil War!

Dumbest fucking thing ever.........

Age of Ultron.

Probably any of the Harry Potters.
I got kicked out of the fourth one and haven't seen the rest.

spiderman

was expecting that matrix vibe from the worldtrade center trailer

got babys first capeshit instead

Tell the story already

>actually having expectations for something by J.J. Abrams after what he did to Star Trek

>mad eye moody: You won't believe what's in this chest (Or whatever)

>me: MAD EYE MOODY. MAD EYE MOODY IS IN THE CHEST.

right as one of the bastards was checking for fire safety

You posted it. It was supposed to save Star Wars. It damaged the OT more than the prequels.

The first Hobbit film was great. Felt like a total adventure. What didn't you like about it? 2 and 3 stung tho.

>what he did to Star Trek

saved it from irrelevance and three shitty movies, exactly what he did to Star Wars?

Like, are we seriously going to pretend those last few TNG movies weren't complete and utter shit? Or are you going to defend Nemesis just because it wasn't normie friendly and therefore makes you feel more intelligent to like it?

Why is saving something from obscurity a good thing? Let it die, no point in reviving it if it's a disgusting zombie that bears no resemblance to its former self

His Star Trek is fanfiction-tier garbage, like those AU fics by teenage girls about "what if all the main characters were high schoolers XD!" combined with Michael Bayesque actions setpieces that are beyond uninspired

The previous Trek movies being shit doesn't excuse his movies being even shittier

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, easily.

Most times the cynic in me tempers my expectations, but I let myself get hyped up this one time and everything was just awful.

Independence Day: Resurgence

JIDF pls

Quantum of solace, my boyfriend died 10 minutes after we left the theater

Episode 7. Waited 30 years to see a rehash of a New Hope. And not even a good one. The Prequels, as shitty as they were, was more captivating than this shit. Fuck disney, fuck jj.

All those years, wasted. Fuck StarWars. It died when George sold it to the slavers of the white race.
All those memorabilia. All those conventions, all that waiting, all that praising, all that being the first in line bullshit. What a waste of time.

Casino Royale was mire disappointing tbqh

At least with QoS I had some idea of what to expect, more boring edgy Bond

The Lost World: Jurassic Park

never have I ever: seen a movie where a gymnast beats a velociraptor.

all you fuckers who have seen the lost world must drink

Way ahead of you partner

Easily.

The trailers looked promising and what could go wrong with Christoph Waltz playing a villain?

But it was the most boring James Bond movie I've ever seen. So by the numbers and with no enthusiasm.

Jurrassic Park was bad but I knew that before going in. In fact I really wanted it to be shit. I went into independence day knowing it was going to be shit and i wasn't disappointed, in fact i clapped at just how shitty it was. Episode 7 though really smashed my spirit. It made me sad in a way I could not even think was possible. Didn't care about the prequels because they were prequels. So if they were shitty, so what.

Even kinda liked episode 3.

After reading Sony's emails I knew it was going to suck ass. That's what happens when you let a bunch of dykes and gays and Ashkenazi jews run things.

the opening sequence was so bland... really set the tone for the whole movie

it was BVS and suicide squad

Such high hopes ;_;

it's one of those scenes that just makes you think "someone wrote that scene, and then someone filmed it" with a sense of amazement. Kinda like Shia Lebuff swinging on vines like Tarzan in Crystal Skull

Boyhood. What an overhyped pile of dogshit that was.

>Me. It was me James. It's always been me. The author of all your pain.

I called this shit in Skyfall, when it started becoming more about Bond and M's relationship, and the titular "Skyfall" being some random plot device about Bond's past.

Who the fucking hell thought it was a good idea to make Bond a character, especially when your actor is portraying him as an emotionless, fuck up antihero?

NOBODY CARES ABOUT BOND'S PARENTS OR HIS FUCKING STEPBROTHER WHO STOLE HIS JEANS, Christ almighty.

Fuck you, Sam Mendes. Skyfall was shit and so was Road to Perdition.

nothing wrong with boyhood you twat.

Hook
Lawnmower Man
Mad Dog and Glory
Wag the Dog

It was utter shit. The chronicles of an annoying turd.

Syriana was good.

...

theaters take plot spoiling that seriously?

It probably was, but I was 12 when it came out and fell asleep.

Dark Knight Rises

this was utter shit. all time least favorite movie

Isn't there a war movie with Colin Farrell that's actually pretty good?

you might be on to something. I saw it when I was in 7th grade with my dad and remember loathing it.

subsequent viewing my change my outlook, however

You might be thinking of The War Zone, which is actually a drama about incest, among other things.

In recent history, this one.

The Two Towers.

Nothing comes even close to that level of disappointment.

you're a fucking idiot for paying to see this

Are you me user?

Dawn of the planet of the apes, far and away

>American gangster
Seems a little harsh, desu. By no means particularly good, but I thought the production value was fine. What did you hate about it?

that's fucking funny

damn lol really?

I haven't been to the theater in almost a decade.

If you were disappointed by the first mall cop movie, then why would you get your hopes up for the second enough to be disappointed again?

...

This.

Most movies today are such utter shit, I will either watch older films at home or pirate the new ones.

Man of Steel

Transformers 2
The Green Hornet
The Last Airbender
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

>kino
fucking die

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Didn't have very high expectations, but I expected it to just be a fun rehash with some "Indy's old now" jokes thrown in. Seemed okay in the opening scene with the nuclear bomb test

Then complete dogshit. Shia Lebeouf is his son, Marion returns and they even get fucking married, the swinging vines and monkeys, the aliens, every sort of cliche. Just dogshit.

man of steel. Gf and I walked out.

Samefag

Tigerland. Good flick

normies please vacate the premises

Wasnt worth watching fooled around with my gf

Hobbit, TFA, Cloverfield and Prometheus. All below 2/10. Terrible flicks.

It took me 4 tries to get through it. Fell asleep every time.

I think i repressed everything about that flick.

Max Payne.

It's a video game based on a movie, why don't you base the movie on the movies that inspired it. There wasn't even any good action, the casting and characters were all kinds of fucked up.

The second and third Hobbit films made me feel let down as I walked out. I'm pretty selective about the movies I see in theaters and I'm good at knowing what I'll like, so I can't even remember a film that disappointed me in theaters before those movies.

Kickass 2

I had some expectations because the trailer looked good and I love Cate Blanchett. I was thinking it would be at least a decent adventure yarn

Boy was I wrong

frozen

I just came back from Fantastic Beasts.
Had no expectations and haven't been a Harry Potter fan since the fourth movie but damn was that a shitfest.

The Matador

I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't the pile of shit I ended up watching.

While it did give us the greatest meme of all time
Dark Knight Rises

I went and got a batman costume
I stood in line for like 3 hours to see it at midnight

and it was fucking horrible

I have never gotten hyped for anything since so I will never be let down again

Dumb and dumberer. TFA was actually really good.

Worst is recent memory would be Suicide Squad.

Best "what the fuck I'll watch it" for me of all time was Contact...fantastic theater experience.

Disappointing. Leading up to its release, Gareth Edwards talked a big game about how his film had compelling human drama and how it hearkened back to the original film with its tone.

None of that was true. It was completely forgettable.

Highlander 2. My mom loved the original movie, took me and my sister to see the sequel.

She was very unhappy.

Last Airbender

Just.... how do you fuck up eveything down to pronouncing the fucking names. It's like they didn't even watch the source material.

Also transformers 2

punisher with dolf lundgren. never again would i go see a superhero movie just because.

What if they intentionally produce bad movies in order to distract the masses from the issues that matter? At the end of the day, the people involved with and financing this stuff are getting paid.

Full kino

Pleb

QoS was so forgettable. Every time I try to remember so ething that happened in Quantum of Solace, it turns out to be something from Casino Royale.

my nigga, CR was the goat bond film, everything after tarnished craig's capability in the role.

>goldeneye and CR directed by the guy who did green lantern

really makes you think

Am I the only person on Earth who didn't like Casino Royale?

The only memorable thing was the postscript ending where he catches up with the guy who killed his gf in the earlier movie. it also fulfills the title, quantum, or smallest possible amount, of solace.
