also bonus points for chosing the best 4eva is a mighty long time cover

I gotta branch out a little more next year

Bottom row is non-LP releases.

i dont know julie byrne but if shes on both of your lists i'll check her out
i dont know who anal trump are but they sound like they're going to be amazing

Tried to pick some stuff that haven't been posted to death in here.

+Idles, Björk, Vince
Kendrick was fine too.
Jonwayne is pretty fun.
+King Gizz, Death Grips, Ulver
I need to listen to Brockhampton and RTJ more.
Xiu Xiu is great. These chart threads make me realise that I've slept on many indie albums this year.

billy woods and elucid are two of my favorite artists out there, but if you don't like them seperately i think you'd like armand hammer even less. it's pretty much just a mesh of their styles dialed up to 11, especially with the production which is unlike anything else i've heard this year. i love it though, armand hammer is probably my favorite duo out there.

Hell yeah, nice to see Died getting some appreciation

It's not the most innovative release of the year, but it's just really solid songwriting and guitar playing and she has an incredible voice that meshes so well with the melodies she finger picks. Fantanny said it was boring, and it was only publications like shitfork that highly praised it.

frankly, i like it because it is beautiful folk music about the joys of isolation and solitude: two things that are underappreciated these days. And not just "i don't want to go out tonight" but real solitude. All of these songs were written as she traveled cross country by herself. She works in the national parks system to spend time away from everyone she knows in nature. It's really good stuff.

I didn't follow things too closely but I liked these

i can't pick 10

honestly dont even know who most of these artists are, impressive stuff bro
never change pop
mirror reaper is definitely my album cover of the year
okay i'm sold, sounds right up my alley desu

Honorable mentions are Bones, DG, and Rina

pump is your number one?

The new Mountain Goats album was so underrated.

Anal trump is rob crow of pinback and the singer from Cattle Decapitation in a donald trump themed anal cunt parody band. It's pretty fucking great.

Thanks for reminding me that I left that Lou the Human album collecting dust on my backlog. Also gj picking Denzel Curry's EP.

Totally forgot about Sampha's too, but honestly I guess it's because apart from a couple of songs nothing else was that particularly interesting for me

I'll give these a try.

Laurel Halo's new shit was tight too.
