The shooting was stopped by a good samaritan with a gun who forced the shooter into a standoff. He wasn't able to kill the shooter but he was able to stall him for 3 hours until the police finally decided to take action.
It took the police 3 hours to respond in any meaningful way. If more people in that club were armed, less people would have been shot down.
This shooting is the best argument for gun rights, not for gun control.
