in b4 this couldn't be made today

Old School is the best so I guess that makes this number two.

Superbad.

Nothing captured the high school experience better for my generation.

It's definitely up there.

I'd throw pineapple express into the discussion as well.

getting an academy award for performing in black face?

yes hands down

>Is this objectively the best comedy post 2000?
Thats BvS.

Not knowing what i was going into, I thought Nice Guys was fucking hilarious.

Team America

Too teenage

Too stoner flick

Even though I love those films tropic thunder is one of those ones everyone loves, like even my mum loves it

i'm still amazed that they got away with this

this. Tropic Thunder isn't even in the top 5

Don't all pretend you didn't find anchorman funny as fuck the first time you saw it and then hated it because normies would parrot all the lines.

Step brothers gets an honourable mention too.

no this is.

That's not The Hangover

Walk Hard

Is that Dr Steve Brule?

"no"

I'm with OP.
Whilst I'm sure there was plenty of improving during filming, Tropic Thunder is a very well written comedy movie, with hilarious ideas as the basis.
All these Will Ferrell-esque movies whilst are mostly funny, are just Will and buddies starting off with 1 idea and then saying stupid shit for 90mins.

I would say the top 3 are
Tropic Thunder
Team America: World Police
and Walk Hard.

This!

Black dynamite
Nice guys
Grand Budapest Hotel
Hail, Caesar!
Superbad
Napoleon Dynamite
Anchorman

All better than Tropic Thunder

yes
pleb

Hell no, this movie was largely terrible

Why doesn't Sup Forums like borat?

Probably because SBC is Jewish

The Jewish jokes were great in that movie though.

The kids smashing the Jew egg and when he thought the old Jewish couple shapeshifted into cockroaches were some of the funniest parts.

Yes, I laughed a lot watching Borat. I was talkinga bout why people here could hate it

That scene you say and the one with the niggas killed me

Everything Sasha Baron Cohen does is great.

>went to imdb to screencap the true list

>first is the hangover

Trash.jpg

Seriously the imdb list is whack

Agreed, the other guys is a close second

That scene where they jump off off the roof caught me so off guard, one of the funniest scenes I've ever watched.

Never seen the rest of the movie though.

my face when the answer to this thread was filmed in 1998.

>Never seen the rest of the movie though.

You should.

>nobody has given reasons as to why their choice is funnier than OP's

Hm

explanations would derail the thread into some stupid perspective-based rambling that has shit to do with movies.

I've only seen this when I was a kid and liked it

Is it worth rewatching?

22 Jump Street.
Prove me wrong. You can't.

I got it playing right now after I made the post since it's on my hard drive with a bunch of other shit. I never get bored of it. If you haven't seen it in a while you should give it a shot.

I'm surprised I still burst out laughing at certain points even though I've seen it so many times.

quads of truth

Got old fast. Was decent, wasn't the second coming of Christ as it was billed. Ali G Indahouse was better.

My gf showed me this and I really didn't like it, am I a pleb?

Walk Hard you fucks.

hot fuzz t b h

"no"

Good call tbqh

Extremely comfy kino

Tops for me, definitely. I fucking love this movie.

edgy shock comedy that tries to be "heartwarming." Terrible taste

Zoolander (not the remake) is in the same category in my opinion.

...

What we do in the shadows imo

You just reminded me I have to watch that.

Scottie doesnt know
Get hard
The interview
Pain and gain

Woa! This movie fucking stinks.

>Bruno
>The Dictator
>Grimsby

Pinneaple Express if you have good taste

30s - Bringing Up Baby
40s - Arsenic and Old Lace
50s - All About Eve
60s - Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
70s - Life of Brian
80s - Airplane!
90s - There's Something About Mary
00s - Clerks 2
10s - ??

Superbad
Project X
Pineapple Express
The Interview

only movie i ever walked out on. thought it was really annoying.

I was in high school at the time. Walked out of the movie and then my friend and I called around looking for people to buy us beer.

>00s - Clerks 2

Right names above actors. That alone makes this movie great.

But why male models?

It is though.

>Project X

user, I'm afraid to inform you that it was one of the single worst things ever committed to film

Should've put black above rdj.

The other guys

i loved it. great soundtrack too. reminded me of my highschool days.

Go fuck yourself San Diego!

Project is an overlooked masterpiece that accurately depicts the youth zeitgeist

that would be so meta.

The Greasy Strangler

pretty much. its eerily nostalgic and i love it.

Too bad it isn't funny in the slightest so yeah, you're basically right.

its actually hilarious. im sorry your highschool career was shite

I think you just got shitty taste senpai, that movie was generic garbage.

Although I do have a soft spot for house party movies.

I'm sure you had a lovely time back then but "dude, party lol chaos lol" alone just isn't good comedy.

nah this

Black Dynamite

Pic related is, in my opinion, very underrated

Project X was mediocre as fuck
I mean I've seen worse films but to call it one of the best post 2000 comedies is pretty fucking ridiculous

I gotta be a fag and admit that the Lego Movie is my favorite comedy. I've never laughed that often in a movie, so many good lines, moments and punchlines, trope subversions and funny characters.

Why do topics pop up that I haven't heard about in years right after I think about them again.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=8stu03-YITk

I like Napoleon Dynamite?

he really shouldn't though

It's up there with Hot Fuzz.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases#Frequency_illusion

The top 4 I think we can all agree on

Tropic thunder
Superbad
Step brothers
Jump Street

These are all near perfect comedies, I think

Totally Agree

Is that a three-frame gif? Jesus.

Superbad
StepBros
HotRod

come back in one year user, you don't know shit

no its not

>aim for the bushes

100% this

The Men Who Stare At Goats
Burn After Reading

Jesus fucking Christ, all these movies are fucking trash. Is this neo-Sup Forums?

>90s
>not The Naked Gun 2½

Burn After Reading is great.

Also I know this board likes to shit on the Coens for some reason, but can we at least consider the Big Lebowski?

got you right here senpai

>greatest comedy
>n-
>post 2000
>ok

Bad Santa

>but can we at least consider the Big Lebowski?
We can't, its a 1998 movie
