Black people murder more, of course, but as I'm sure you've already been told, one of the strongest correlating factors of violence is the socioeconomic status of not only the perpetrator but also the criminals parents. Taking a look at poverty rates, whites sit around 12% whereas blacks sit around upwards of 25%.

Of course this isn't excusing violence, but it's important to identify causes rather than just saying "well they're black so that's why."
