I know people think King Gizzard are a meme band but this shit is seriously such an amazing psych rock album
I know people think King Gizzard are a meme band but this shit is seriously such an amazing psych rock album
yeah but also Float Along, Paper Mache, Nonagon, Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, and Polygondwanaland
Nonagon Infinity is better
but thats just my opinion and Mind Fuzz is still gr8
Best band
>RATTLESNAKE
>RATTLESNAKE
>RATTLESNAKE
>RATTLESNAKE
King Gizzard is awesome
Rattled
i kind prefer mind fuzz to be honest
Why is this not on spotify?
DUDE SICK RIFFS LMAO
it is
You know what, they really do have some sick riffs
it isn't for North American users
Some pasta:
Here's the King Gizzard writing process
>hey dude I came up with this sick riff while I was smoking hell weeeeeed
>wow dude nice rif how does it go?
>Oh it goes like this "bee dee dee-dee doo da-dee dee"
>oh wow thats so sick dude lets just repeat that throughout the whole song
>thanks man but what will the other instruments do?
>oh shoot I forgot because we have so many band members! Ok let's think. All of our other guitars will do absolutely nothing noticeable because all we need is that one sick riff, the bass will just bounce between two notes, and our TWO DRUMMERS will go "ba da da da dadadada"
>dude thats so SICK but wait dude arent we forgetting something?
>oh shoot! I almost forgot because of how HIGH I am! We need lyrics!
>I Got you dude-"Wizard of the sun, wizard of the sun, wizard of the sun oh you have so much fun. Wizard of the sun, wizard of the sun, watch out oh great wizard, that robot's got a gun! The robot it craves poopies, and lots of fruity loopies! But the wizard has no food, the Wizard is too good, the wizard is one really righteous dude! Wizard of the sun, wizard of the sun, wizard kills that robot by the time the day is done!"
>wow dude that's totally sick
>yeah and here's the best part, this song is gonna be eleven minutes long!
>But how?
>Just repeat everything nonstop!
>Sick dude
>Sick
>using spotify
>not using spotify
Google Play Music is love, Google Play Music is life
>not using spotify
kinda cringe desu
so, where is their 5th album?
only 4 more days
The writing process you went through writing that (and then spam it as your own forced pasta) is very sad.
It's krautrock inspired you Mongoloid. Listen to Can and you'll understand.
King Gizz is where it’s at desu like I can’t think of another band that’s putting out such consistently good (fucking great) work at such a high rate. They are continually pushing themselves forward and evolving either every release, they have an amazing musical vocabulary that has a lot of different sounds, and they are just fucking EXCITING. They blow me away with every listen
2018 will probably see one album, maybe 2 if they decide to push it.
I can only assume that they're really burnt out at this stage from 5 albums and consistent touring.
>using streaming sites
>not downloading entire albums and syncing them to your phone like a smart person
Stu did say that they've probably reached their maximum prolific height in 2017, though they don't want to slow down the pace in 2018.
A lot of "meme" artists are good.
Meme artists are usually just buzz-artists that actually get picked up by more than just critics.
Nonagon Infinity > Polygondwanaland > Flying Microtonal Banana.> I'm In Your Mind Fuzz > Sketches Of Brunswick East > Murder of the Universe > Float Along/Fill Your Lungs > Paper Mache Dream Balloon > Quarters! > Eyes Like The Sky > 12 Bar Bruise > Oddments
FMB = Mind Fuzz > Nonagon > Polygondwanaland > Paper Mache = Quarters > FAFYL = Murder > Sketches, ELTS, Oddments > 12 BB
He didn't write that
I did
I agree with this
>Oddments last
Oddments fucking sucks
why was there so much hate for motu
i actually really enjoy it
the speaking parts arent even bad
fantano-drones
No it doesn't, every track is great
>we have 2 drummers that play exactly the same drum beat and mix them so they sound like one drum kit lmao
No? They mix the drums by panning them to opposite sides? You must be listening through a horrible sound system. And not every song they play the same beat.
Nonagon>Poly>Mind Fuzz>MOTU>FA/FYL>PMDB>Quarters!>FMB>ELTS>SOTB>Oddments
It's great but most people can't accept a prog rock concept album.
unironically my favorite album from them, then again I love me some spaghetti westerns
Kekd
>meme band
it's a fucking meme in itself calling a band a meme band. god damn it
dude it's pasta i got from RBT, this user wrote it
The opening of the first track is great.
Good opinion. The songs in their story albums all have a certain weight when you get a clear purpose behind them. Murder of the Universe wasn't their best stuff, but it kept me interested because of this.
Lol
>It's krautrock inspired you Mongoloid. Listen to Can and you'll understand.
Except that Irmin Schmidt and Holger Czukay studied under Stockhausen, while King Gizzard is an Australian psychedelic rock band trying to release as many albums as possible in a year, but with different gimmicks in each one.
...
Its true
I saw a screencap of the original post of this on facebook, its all over user
Not him, but the Can comparison was weak, it's more akin to Neu!
Go listen to Hallogallo and Hero and tell me it doesn't remind you of King Gizzard.
King Jizz on suicide watch XDDDD
New album dropping sometime in the next four days.
why would anyone listen to king gizzard when thee oh sees exist
cause they're both good
only americans will laugh at this
Change 'sick' to 'taste'
Change 'dude' to 'cunt'
At least then it might be a little accurate
t. an australian
I have listened to Neu!, but I've also only listened to I'm in your Mind Fuzz.
Listen to Flying Microtonal Banana
Too tru
listened to sketches of Brunswick East this mornings
pretty nice combo of psych music and jazz
>white guilt - the album
Google play is the best for this.
spotify users get out REEEEE
Am I in Heaven best song on album, fight me
>Have you heard the murmurings of
>Balrog, balrog
>Balrog, balrog
>Balrog, balrog, yep!
Lord of lightning vs Balrog is amazing
amazing album
>"yeah dude I listen to some weird stuff"
The band
considering you'd usually say that to some top 40 normie that's not wrong, it just applies to pretty much all non-pop
The lead singer bites on John Dwyer's style super hard; both his stage presence and sound. I can't believe he's not called out on this more.
drummer 2 is the manager, doesnt play on albums only live
Though the first drummer overdubs another set of drums.
