The main difference is that reddit has upvotes. Therefore the comments that agree most with the social norms are rewarded. On Sup Forums the equivalent of "upvotes" are "(you)'s", which is basically the number of replies you get. So therefore comments are rewarded which are the most shocking, morally reprehensible, counter to all social norms. Politically incorrect threads are bumped, PC threads die off.

In addition, Sup Forums allows free speech, Reddit does not
