the second wave of cyber metal is just its slow degeneration towards djent, which is garbage. There are a couple of good things in that bulk but Digimortal ain't one of them. Neither is Mechina. And only Neurotech's first two albums were good.
Cyber Metal, historically, is corsetcore meloblack mixed with industrial metal (especially Fear factory - Obsolete and Pitchshifter's late 90s albums and a bit of NDH) along with aggrotech and harsh EBM.

I can get behind Tyrant of Death but IN SPITE of how djenty it sounds. It's more based on breakcore drum patterns and it's pretty bleak and usually devoid of vocals, so it doesn't feel anything like the deathcore-ish grooves and twinkly space-age bullshit of bands like Mechina.
