Tfw you realize this is more historically accurate than Tudors, The Borgias, and Rome combined

>tfw you realize this is more historically accurate than Tudors, The Borgias, and Rome combined

Explain.

They actually had a team of historian consultants on board which kept the show from going too far over the top.

There was tons of made up shit in there, but very little of it actually contradicted the known historical facts.

>tfw you realize S1 is fucking amazing.
too bad about S2 and 3

I miss Spartacus. It was dumb action but it was fun. There was some genuinely really good episodes too. Basically every episode of season 1 is better than the last.

War of the Damned was pretty good, IMO. Krassus was fucking based.

The show died with Andy.

>It was dumb
The show's internal logic was consistent through out the season 1 and the cause and effects of various actions in the show made sense.

Why do you call it dumb? Just because naked muscle men fight?

It was cheap 300-wannabee. Only faggots love it

this show was so much better than it should have been

it was unashamedly a low rent 300 ripoff that was designed to appeal to people because tits and violence

but somehow they accidentally stuffed it with a whole bunch of compelling characters and incredibly satisfying plot arcs and the whole thing ended up being 10/10 telekino

underrated post

this show had consistently GOAT season finales

>designed to appeal to people because tits and violence

cheap surface level read.
how do I know? because the writing was there to back up a compelling story right from episode 2 onwards and also because of how Black Sails turned out.

Prequel season is great too. Series died with Andy and when Batiatus kicked the bucket.

First season of Spartacus always pops up in my mind first when thinking of best TV series.

MY COCK RAGES ON

Someone post the screencap with user barricading the upper floor of his house.

The prequel is top tier too.

oenomaus was a gaul as well, not an african

What shows can fill the hole left by Spartacus? I've tried Black Sails, Vikings, and Marco Polo, but none of them quite do the trick.

>gauls can't be blacked
you know, cultural enrichment already exists back then

>spartacus is one of the parallel earths in the arrowverse

It's so sad how he died. The cancer was in remission. He was in such good shape, he would have been the last person I'd imagine getting sick.

>post yfw this scene

i cri :'(

I watched the original season and then the prequel season while waiting for Andy to get better. When he didn't, I quit watching.

As far as I know, Spartacus escaped and lived happily ever after.

>normies hate this show but like game of thrones
why?

...

Yeah, I was not expecting that either. Everything about the show was authentic down to the fucking lamps. The script was even written with latin grammar and sentence structure.
