Neither. He was the guy.
He was a big guy.
was he chaotic good or neutral good?
I swore when I was watching this that the brother Brolin mentions that is off the grind was going to be Del Toro. And that Del Toro was going to be Sicario/an assassin. So happy I was wrong.
Unrealistic in the sense that a drug lord would never work with the CIA
Neither. He was /ourguy/
He was just another symptom of the decease that plagues El Paso and surrounding areas, used tactically in order to better contain it.
The CIA can neither confirm or deny that.
If Americans stopped consuming so many goddamn drugs, cartels wouldn't even be a thing. The amount of blood the US has on its hands bottles the mind
Sicaran Reigns sucks
The way he wastes that family eating dinner was cold as fuck. Empathy eludes Mexicans due to their Mayan genes.
neutral good
He was Colombian.
He was probably dead inside after his own family was killed.
All things considered, they got a more merciful death than the loved ones he was avenging.
do you have any idea what the CIA/ATF/DOJ has actually done in the drug war
Hoo boy, you'd like to think that wouldn't you.
>daughter dipped into acid until she fucking dies
>wife decapitated with a chainsaw
>likely tortured and raped first
They got off easy
Score was amazing
stop shitposting on Sup Forums agent, you have work to do.
>bottles
I'm pretty sure he just worked for the Colombian cartel. He was a prosecutor in Mexico iirc.
lawful evil, he killed innocent children.
>innocent children.
Funny way to spell future drug lords.
Would have won an Oscar had it not been a "Oh shi-, we forgot to award Ennio Morricone anything before he dies" year.
>bottles the mind
The Hateful Eight has a way better soundtrack
The Hateful eight is literally old Morricone tracks
The Thing soundtrack especially
k
he was a medellin guy
He want Revenge for the death of his family, there is no good or bad, he was just fucking angry.
He was our guy
>bottles the mind
thanks for your input
He's not a drug lord though
he was a lawyer
When the fuck did they say this?
I really hate this meme where you make a thread to explain an entire character and his motivations in black and white to where a child can understand him.
It's a meme right? Right guys? We all watch enough movies that we can formulate opinions on characters ourselves instead of being spoonfed from an user on a japanese image board? Right??
when kate comes back from the tunnel
Don't ever point a weapon at me or my wife's son again
...
Anyone else like how Westen was ruthless as fuck?
I will never understand why tv jizzes over this movie. it was pretty standard, really.
kek underrated post

I'm gettin' a boner
You will not survive here. You are not a wolf and this is the land of wolves now
>Daughter dipped into acid
That line actually hit me when I first watched, the thought of it took me out of the movie for a sec.
They are literally fighting eachother for the monopoly on the Drug Cartel
If they were legal they also wouldn't be making so much money
So unsettling. Dude is very good
>Thought crimes are real crimes
Fuck off
>don't kill the cildren
>children come after him just like he came after fausto
yeah no
What are some other realistic cartel films?
El Inferno is alright but a lot different
Elite Squad 1 and 2
Bone apple tea
Christ on a crutch. Pretty straightforward question with a fairly easy answer, yet 50+ responses in, and nobody's answered correctly so far.
The answer is 'good guy', OP. It's not even ambiguous.
>drug lord
>good guy
There were no good guys in this film. Only a good woman
what about the blackie?
He isn't a drug lord though.
Where do people keep getting this weird idea he was? His story is pretty simple- he's a guy out purely for revenge and he teams up with the CIA to get it. The CIA is concerned with drug lord politics, but it's just a means to an end for him to kill the guy who killed his family.
he raped that dude. That was weird
The scenes where BOPE guys beat up that college faggot and where NGOs get favela'd are pure kino.
He was a lawyer in Mexico, he messes with the wrong guy, his family is tortured and murderer, he is exiled. He then is hired by the Medellin cartel.
So he in fact became a bad guy. He's a sicario for the Medellin cartel, although he did it to get his revenge on the Mexican cartel.
Only reason he doesn't kill that DEA cunt is because she reminds him of himself but also his dead daughter who was put alive in a barrel full of acid.
The actor who plays Nascimento also played Pablo Escobar in the Netflix show Narcos.
Totally worth watching.
The movie was fine until it became brown jason bourne in the last 15 minutes.
I wouldn't dislike an entire movie of del toro being just that, but I thought I was watching something trying to be a realistic take on the cartels/CIA.
He's not a drug lord. That was my only point.
He has no personal interest in drug lording or self-enrichment. Allying with the CIA drug cartel scheme was a means to an end for him. Not commenting on his good or badness.
narcos is also just great cartel stuff in and of itself
>it was pretty standard, really.
Your problem is beyond shit taste. You're just stupid as fuck.
...he water boarded him, retard.
by pouring the water down the drain just before telling the guard to leave, locking the door and opening the guys legs like his bitch. Get woke faq
Does your brain just automatically replace reality with homosexual fanfic like that?
holy shit shut the fuck up and watch it again. What did he use to water board him with you spastic. Prison rules you soft brain cunt
>What did he use to water board him with you spastic
Fucking water, retard. What the fuck do you think he brought the water there for? All it takes is some water and a cloth to waterboard someone.
read again, watch again. HE POURS THE WATER DOWN THE DRAIN. FUCK! Are you this dense in real life user? You must be unbearable
>standard
You either need to rewatch it or leave tv and never come back
Tunnel firefight best firefight
>Post yfw strong women were BTFO in the last 10mins of this kino
I assume you went back and watched and now feel retarded that you didn't even watch your favourite movie very closely.
>youtube.com
That literally never happens. The scene ends with a shot of the drain and the detainee struggling. No water is poured out, and it's blatantly implied that the waterboarding is about to happen. It's not even ambiguous. You're just a homo who can't stop being a homo for every second of every day.
oh shit lol yes actually now I remember... He isnt even using the water and you can hear the guy grunting and struggling even though the bottle is closes and not water is going down the drain. Still proves my point. Your hero is a fag bro.
Also all the comment on the link you sent me seem to agree. Sorry user. Life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Nigga was a pipe cleaner
>he brought an entire jug of water into the room for setdressing
Literally retarded. Keep your homoerotic fantasies to yourself.
I find it hard to believe that a spic has the same level of operatorness as an actual CIA paramilitary operative or someone from CAG.
>only white people can shoot guns while dressed in black
To make it seem to everyone outside thats what he would be doing. Dude just wanted revenge and he is clearly making the guy his bitch. Relax man, Im sure it was left up to interpretation so snowflakes such as yourself can believe the trusting sound is the baddy shuffling his chair back and forth to move away from your hero
>mad beaner thinking he can operate like actual people
He was just a very well trained cartel goon.
he stuffed his medellin cock down his throat before waterboarding him
>No one has posted this scene
