DOOMED, user - YOU'RE DOOMED FOR ALL TIME

The thing with loans is that, sure, a few percent interest goes to Scrooge.

But most of that? And all of the principal, the bulk of the loan?

That's supposed to go along to the next poor fucks freezing, starving, borrowing to start a business, needing money for an operation.

Being generous and forgiving loans or deferring payment just means there's an unseen family in the same neighborhood that gets fucked over.

A Christmas Carol is by far the most overrated written work ever created.

That's weird. I was just talking about this with some people a few hours ago.

Adulthood truly is when you realize Scrooge is just trying to keep his hard earned money in a world full of lazy slackers

the Patrick Stewart adaptation is a goddamn masterpiece

Christmas as an adult fucking sucks

Sure you get work off in most jobs, but you have to attend a shitty Christmas party

so fuck the whole thing

Scrooge had a hard life. He literally did nothing wrong, the worst thing I can think of was maybe treating Crachet or whatever his name was kinda shitty and making him work christmas.

He was just being nice

Work christmas = make mad stacks = buy medicine to fix your retarded kid

Well he was a bit of a bastard

He has the right to be rude to people, he hurt no one

Tims dad could have quit

He morally did not a single thing wrong

Some reddittor did some math in between sucking dicks. Checks out: reddit.com/r/FanTheories/comments/3v5mjk/ebenezer_scrooge_is_a_miser_because_he_lived/

That was actually a pretty good read. Poor Scrooge.

>Needing to wait for a certain day of the year to make conscious attempt to be a nicer and more charitable person
>But it's alright to go back to your normal greedy self every other day of the year
>Wait until next Christmas to seem like such a nice person, go back to being a dick a few days later and it's not a big deal

Christmas: the 'holiday' were everyone is sanctioned to be a hypocrite for a day.

WE'RE MARLEY AND MARLEY.

>Jacob and "Robert" Marley
>Jacob and Bob Marley

lol

CLUTCHING THEIR LITTLE FROSTBITTEN TEDDYBEARS! DOHHOHOHOHOO

>Childhood is idolizing the ghost of Christmas future
>Adulthood is realizing the ghost of Christmas present is actually the kinospirit

*DOHHOHOHOHOOouuhugh

The Ghost of Christmas Past is such a timid little paddy. What gives?

Not even memeing here

Isn't the entire point of "A Christmas Carol" 100% literally that Scrooge was a fundamentally good person whose own tragic life had fucked him up and only needed some perspective to realize this?

Like Dickens didn't even write him as a villain, he's the frigging protagonist

>He literally did nothing wrong

He broke the heart of his waifu by putting his work first, which then forced Disney to pull the best song in the film (after the VHS release). This then destroys the whole flow and point of the Christmas Past segment.

Disney a shit. A SHIT.

Mah nigga this movie was fucking brilliant when i was a kid. Better go watch and see how much the nostalgia has worn off.

The Muppet Christmas Carol might be the best adaptation of not only A Christmas Carol, but any book. It's dead on if only because the narrator is one of the characters

It's even fucking worse when you have a family like mine where 90% of which can't even fucking manage that for a couple of days. Lite

What do you mean about the song? I watched this film last week and someone there mentioned they thought they remembered his waifu singing a song.

>Have a life changing revelation to be charitable after seeing that everyone will forget / hate you after you die
>The character Scrooge is forever associated by Greed, Selfishness and lack of Compassion

What a fucking shit story. Just goes to show that first impressions are all that matter.

Scrooge did nothing wrong in the eyes of the law, it's just that the story is saying that the law and society's shitting on the poor and the disabled is fucked up,

It's fucking heartbreaking, user, and explains a lot of why Scrooge locked his emotions away.

The bit where My Cocaine joins in ... it tears me up every time.

I bet you hate It's a Wonderful Life too, huh?

the story is basically anti-capitalist propaganda

((Ebenezer))

>mfw this is the iconic version for me and I loved it yet it's supposedly shit
youtu.be/HEStW6KkSBg

Scrooge is redpilled as fuck holy shit.
