The FSA and Nusra have largely abandoned North Aleppo and redeployed from the south thanks to Turkey. Russian Air Force has been busy practically holding the Jihadis off by themselves from the air.
SAA, NDF, Hezbollah and secret services (Mukhabarat) are at about 290,000. YPG IS 60,000.
And that is not counting troops from Iraq and Iran that would fight for Assad again against YPG.

At the start of the war maybe, I doubt government still has so many troops. Also the SDF doesn't only consist of YPG. And I'm sure when ISIS is defeated, Peshmerga would send reinforcements to Syrian Kurds.
Russia has been bombing them for weeks and the rebels repelled so many counterattacks. They must have a big force there.

They are the only group that can go for months without getting attacked, so of course they have time to prepare large scale offensives. Everyone else is too busy in constant fighting to even focus on the Kurds but that doesn't make the YPG strong. 1v1 they may well get owned by just about anyone.
