It still holds up well as a satire (PC culture still largely exists and is stupid). If you google "90s action films" you'll still get a ton of movies that hold up really well
The newer ones rely too much on CGI and terrible scripts that are easier to translate into Chinese

Basically you can't write anything clever and you have to film it so the person talking is directly on screen so the subtitles match up
