El Banana album?
Fleetwood Mac?

the nails album?
hybrid theory
all good imo lol, i think tlop

its loveless. shit gives me a fucking headache. Reminds me of when i was 12 and thought effects pedals were the coolest thing in the world and everything was always on max.

that story is irrelevant and its a solid album

how is it irrelevant. It's just them strumming power chords with their effects pedals cranked and terribly mixed vocals.

>King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard -Polygondwanaland
>At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command
>Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion
>The Mars Volta - De-Loused In The Comatorium
>Fugazi - 13 Songs

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade?

It has nothing to do with little timmy playing with his effects pedals. Its a self contained music album, try to suspend your disbelief a little bit

that's all the band is, is little timmy playing with his effects pedals. He strums, powerchords with pop-progressions.

So is a lot of songs in any genre very formulatic.
At least this one tries something new, with adding the effects. It basically even spawned its one genre too.

>So is a lot of songs in any genre very formulatic.
irrelevant. Has nothing to do with the conversation, we are talking about loveless. Try again.
>At least this one tries something new, with adding the effects
new = good

well if you're that impressionable and easily impressed by all means. Keep listening to loveless.

>thats all the band is, playing the genre it wanted to play
ok so "ARG I DON;T LIKEA DS GENRE YOU SHOULDN'T EWITHER RAWR

>The College Dropout
>Remain in Light
>Another Green World

>Famous dex

>Neurosis - Souls at Zero
>Godflesh - Pure

Illnois?

yeah, I said I don't like it. I'm allowed to not like shitty music, just like you're allowed to like shitty music. I don't know why you instantly took it as a personal attack.

Not Nails. Unsilent Death is my second favorite metal album, actually.
That's a shame. I'm a huge fan of Loveless. Do you like any Shoegaze at all then?

*citing
also, leave him alone, guy. He's allowed to dislike Loveless, god damn.

not a good base to call it shitty, thats why
not everything has to be complicated. It's just songs, its about the meaning, not how it was made

He is a stuck up pleb though

>Death Grips - The Powers That B
>Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
>Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
>clipping. - CLPPNG
>Madvillain - Madvillainy

>pleb
kek nice try bud.

Must be Beck

>Do you like any Shoegaze at all then?
rides pretty cool

>T. Rex - Electric Warrior
>Palace Music - Viva Last Blues
>Dinosaur Jr. - Where You Been
>Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
>Drugdealer - The End of Comedy

Disagree entirely. The whole album is cool BECAUSE of how it's made. The lyrics are nonsense. It's cool because the mixing is made in a (at the time) unique way that made the album feel dreamy, and enveloping, with walls of sound, gentle, quiet vocals, and lots of different little details going on at once.

You can call him names all you like, but you're giving just as little actual, logical arguments as he is.

>nice try bud, I call albums shitty if it doesn't #blowmymind

Madvillany perhaps?

>settling for mediocre
So guess we found the actual pleb.

logical argument is the tracks are solid and have meaning behind them despite all the effects.
His argment is a bloo bloo its too simple how it was made so its a shitty album

found the child

Nope

Dinosaur Jr, because i cant see why anyone likes that shit

>Solid
You may as well just use the word good. The album is good because the songs are good. That's not an argument, and all three of us know that.

His argument is that he just doesn't like it. He doesn't think the mixing sounds good. I think that's entirely reasonable, honestly. I didn't like it at first either.

Listen, man, I'm with you. I think Loveless is great, and that guy's being pretty pretentious, but you're totally sperging out here.

>The Police "Outlandos D'Amour"
>Gorillaz "Demon Days'
>The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour"
>Oasis "Definitely Maybe"
>Public Enemy "Fear of a Black Planet

solid as in put together fine.
And his argument is not good. You don't just call it shitty music just because of all a sudden it was supposed to be complicated music to you

Nah it's just cool to hate on Villains. Kinda like how it's cool to hate Strangers to Ourselves by Modest Mouse

Let's recap:
His argument:
>The mixing is garish
>The chord progressions are simple, and dull
Both totally valid reasons to not like something, in my personal opinion.

Your argument:
>The songs are "solid," or "put together fine"
(Circular, giving no reason WHY they're so "solid")
>The songs have a deeper meaning
(Debatable, and personally, I think that's missing the point of Loveless, and why it was such an important album.)

Yep. My friends are super into them but they don't shred and they just about suck

no his argument is that the effects are supposed to be impressive, and the tracks are not good otherwise, because they are simple...which this makes it a shitty album.
He is clearly focusing too much on these two things to actually care about the album. The tracks are emotional, relatable, and mixed together like decently, the effects are just an additive. The album is nice regardless

>Carly Rae
Nope

>it's 13 Songs
