I saw it yesterday at a home cinema.
Shit was absolutely stunning (with the exception of certain scenes that sadly was butchered. The B&W sometimes made it difficult to distinguish objects from each other)

I really hope it sets the ground work for more B&W for mainstream Hollywood.

You can google the obvious comparisons between this release and fan made b&w and see the difference, why be such an ignorant degenerate

Which scenes do you think were butchered? I felt like the night scenes were a little bit harder to see overall, but they still looked okay. The day stuff looked great though.

Sadly I can't find the specific moments I thought about for a screenshot. But sometimes during the car chases there were so much dust flying around that it was difficult to see what was going on. That was never a issue with the coloured version. Also, some shots over the mountains lost depth and scale.

I didn't have any issues with the night scenes. I always saw everything clearly, and the contrasts from the few light sources created some spectacular imagery.

I'll have to give the movie a rewatch. I felt the mountain scenes looked fine, but that's just me. Overall, it's still nice looking though, and I'm glad they officially released a version of it in black and white.

I very much agree. I hope Miller can smack the asses of his producers and make the next MM with black and white in mind from the start, perhaps even as the only version.
