Kinda weird I rarely see them talked about here, they were one of my favorite bands during my edgy depressed post-rock phase, absolute masters at creating athmosphere

Nicolas Jaar's Nymphs is pretty apocalyptic, but it's not very similar to Godspeed. Instead of a boots on the ground Fallout-esque sound, it's more akin to waking up in heaven after the nukes have hit.

Well it's not really a surprise given who was in the band.

I was a little less warm to their second album because they ditched the Steel Lap for whatever reason, but they put out a lot of quality stuff before giving up the ghost.
