I'm not a virgin, but I don't get how that's related to Sup Forums, in fact most people here are virgin teenagers.
But I agree with the rest.

Oops looks like you have to leave, OP.
Hello Sup Forums, just a friendly reminder, if you:

>have listened to less than 4,000 albums

here's the disconnect. people that are actual musicians do not generally care about how much music they consume. they're more preoccupied with playing and creating than listening. not to say that they don't listen, just that being obsessive about music listening is more a characteristic of people that just listen to music as a major hobby than people that actually make music
It takes 5 minutes on the internet to figure how to read a music staff. I’ll never understand why people can’t figure this out.

if you've been at it for years the 4000 albums will just come naturally
sounds like someone's projecting!

>are a virgin
>then you do not belong here
Imagine being this delusional about Sup Forums
...
4000 albums equates to 11 years of listening to one new album every day (obviously it doesn't have to take that long if you average more than that). not everyone wants to mindlessly consume like that
>Life is Pain - Bloody melancholy
i've always felt like this was true but it can't be completely so
roll
>puts down people for their taste in music by making assumptions that could and were completely off
I mean artists who actually make it big probably try to focus more on their own shit and not blend into the popular sound (unless they want to) but still consume music on some casual level. But people who play casually probably have more time to consume and are maybe less concerned about being influenced.

Holy fuck. I hate when people have listened to thousands of albums even though you know they listened to 75% of them just once, thought they were mediocre/forgettable, and moved on.

This is the only one that applies to me, once I could around when I was in college, but I rarely do anything with music besides listen casually.
I personally have listened to over that number, but I've probably been listening to albums significantly longer than many people on Sup Forums have. Although that is more about the age gap, and I don't think people should just be about listening to as much new stuff as possible. You should listen to a new album and sit with it for a little bit to truly appreciate.
