fuck off alt right!

Waiting for Armond's review.

...

This pic game my browser AIDS

>Average rating 7.5
No one going on suicide watch because the movie was rated average

how much of this guy is in it

>tomatometer increases
>average rating decreases

I fucking hate white people

You must be 18 or older to post here

Kill yourself kid

>certified fresh already
but there's no shilling, no sir!

Reminds me of what happened w. Antman.

First reviews come in -- mostly negative. It dips into the 80's... 70's... 60's....

Right before it goes into actual Rotten range, suddenly, the influx of positive reviews comes in and bumps it up to an 80.

Classic Disney....

White men were a mistake.

>certified fresh already

okay, someone who actually knows please answer this. what is RT's "criteria" for movies hitting certified?

it just seems like they gave Rogue 1 certified fresh much too quickly?

>7.5 average rating

Two questions:
1. Is Sheev in it?
2. Do we get to see the diversity squad massacred at the end?
This determines whether I watch it.

Remember when Ghostbusters was certified fresh?

No one on the "alt-right" thought this would garner negative reviews considering professional movie reviewers are overwhelmingly leftist.

You're an idiot.

this ťbh fām

That's fairly low starting out. RT ratings never go up, they only go down.

over 100 reviews I think with a 70+ score

So what are you doing here, junior?

...

0

>RT ratings never go up
They do when they are paid for.

HAHAHA TRIGGERED NEO NAZI GET TRIGGERED I FUCKIN TRIGGERED YOU WE WON THIS ONE!

DRUMPF BTFO!

No it's usually the initial reviews that are paid for, that's why its high when it comes out

After the movie is out and the flood of bloggers and small newspaper pick it up it usually goes down for all movies since they obviously can't pay everyone and there will be contrarians out there who will shit on it.

L TO THE FUCKIN L BITCH THAT SCORE KEEPS GOING UP UP UP

BETTER WATCH BvS AND CALL SUICIDE HOTLINE BECAUSE YOUR STUPID OPINIONS LOST

who cares? Disney Wars is shit and those fanboys don't know the taste even when Disney puts a turd in their mouth

...

I don't know, but
1. Probably not
2. I hope so

Sometimes this isn't the case. Look at Antman -- it was almost rotten before the shilling reviews came in.

Only review you need is A.O. Scott's from the Times.

Its bad, not because muh female lead, muh disney kikes etc. but because the dialogue is god awful, the stakes are low and the plot of the adventure is boring.

Scott literally literally uses the word "shilling" when talking about Disney in the first paragraph.

That's because Disney told them to "join us on the journey" or some nauseating shit.

yeah, when trying to make their ban of posting spoilers in any review coming out of a screening sound "fun"

The people saying it was bad had already mostly written their review before the movie came out. That's why it didn't take them as long to write their review. The ones who gave it a fair decent score took longer to write their well-though out review and that's why why the score went down and then back up again.

>these mental gymnastics

...

>Disney is literally the Empire irl
Really makes one ponder

Why do these rating mean anything?

Nobody has seen it. What are people even rating? The trailers and media hype?

Well I dont know the full extent of what they """asked""" of reviewers at these screenings, but that line alone carries a pretty clear implication: you either join us (Disney) on this journey, or you dont.

Now the New York Times can just ignore this shit because they'll never get their screening privileges revoked but some local yokel paper or blogger knows they'd better tow the line if they still access.

Its a lot cheaper for Disney to do this than it is to outright pay reviewers.

>average rating
>7.5
I was hoping it would be good but it got a lower score than TFA and that movie was bad.

fuck drumpf and fuck white people

I'm sure this movie will make tons of money but will it be an enduring entry into the Star Wars Saga? Or just another flash in pan that everybody will forget in a few years?

that's pretty good

i think ppl were gonna go see this anyway despite reviews good or bad

People should use metacritic

its the better aggregator

The world premier was 4 days ago

>Rotten Tomatoes is the only barometer and totally not shilled up the ass

>‘Rogue One’: Exhausted, demoralized and no fun
Wait, so the movie might be good then?

sfgate.com/movies/article/Rogue-One-10793755.php
How the fuck do you give a movie a bad rating because it's not fun enough?

Or you know, like, not care about what other people say about stupid movies churned out of Hollywood like laffy taffy at the Willy Wonka factory

>tfw got an AMC gift card the other day
Should I waste it on this movie?

This.

Major papers either were always in cahoots w. Disney or are too big to give a shit. It's the small bloggers, YouTube reviewers, online reviews for sites like HitFix, The Wrap, etc. that are most easily swayed and convinced to tow the line.

Though considering the majority of them are massive Disney/comic book geeks it probably doesn't take much. Perhaps just a little reminder in the 'spoiler' section like Scott said + a few action figures.

RT is more polarizing and makes for better trollbait on Sup Forums

obviously MC is a better aggregator, on account of not using the idiotic positive/negative ratio as the metric

>7.5
>average

pick one

60+

>7.5
>for a Disney-produced film

In reality it's probably closer to 6.5 or 6 avg. rating.

This. Women crave the bbc. White boys belong in the shed.

7.5 on RT is 75 on Metacritic. Is MC Disney paid too?

No. Go see Arrival.

No.... but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that the critics Metacritic uses for their aggregate are.

Top critics of RT

>Alt-right dweebs upset by people enjoying a space movie with laser guns and wizards because it has a girl in it

Is there any group more easily butthurt and trolled than the alt-right now? SJW BTFO

Yeah, the anti-alt right (you)

How so? I don't care about your temper tantrums. Looks like a good flick, I will enjoy it. Already got tickets for IMAX on Friday.

u mad breh?

Not really, you seem desperate and triggered tho

alright then!

Who else is pumped for a new Star Wars movie in just two days fuck yeah!!

So Jewyork Times writes a bad review about a movie Trumpfags don't like and suddenly they're the most important reviewer ever?

>no muslims are the real monsters I just like to celebrate the violent murders of people I supposedly want to defend
man ya'll could at least afford to be subtle about your sadism

So Jewyork Times isn't relevant anymore because they gave your favorite movie a bad review?

Because Drumpfkins are shilling their political agenda

>your favorite movie a bad review

I haven't even watched the movie, I'm just pointing out how you faggots shit on liberal media all the time but the moment they seem to write something that agrees with your views you can't stop shilling them.

Why are ye mouseketeers getting so butthurt over people not liking yer movie

I think the point is that even liberal media can't defend the movie.

Everyone likes Star Wars familam. Lack of popularity isn't really a problem for the Star Wars franchise.

>Everyone likes Star Wars familam.

b8

>Even the librul media can't defend this movie about spaceships and space wizards, my infantile political viewpoints have totally been validated!

Does Vader have an action scene?

at least 75% with 80 reviews

Why do liberals always project?

>Liking BvS

KY

time for what

everyone looks things up on wikipedia, but doesnt use MC like they do. It baffles me

That comeback doesn't even make sense. Did someone say it to you once and now you just say it because you think it sounds clever? Do you even know what it means? Maybe google it man.

1: No.
2: Yes.

65 on metacritic lmao.

It dropped to 65. Give it another day or two to stop adjusting

why do you care so much? You do realize it's an outer space movie with laser guns right?

>how do you criticize a piece of entertainment for not being entertaining

>substitute one shitty alien meme movie for another
Brilliant

And every vote must be counted before they call a state's electorals, too, right?

why?

The negative reviews have been interesting.

All except the top link are "top critics", and the top link is a comic book site you'd have expected to eat this up. What's very interesting is it's being panned by the likes of the New York Times. Disney not paying out for reviews like they used to?

What, you mean "Drumpfkins" like the New York Times or the San Francisco Chronicle? Get the fuck out of here /leftypol/r/communism, go back to huffing paint fumes and masturbating over anarcho-communism.

Do people unironically get upset when movies feature black people or women?

Define "people"

Yes, are you new to the Internet or something?

Quit trying to make this a thing

I don't, in fact some of my favourite films have had majority black/and or female casts.

What does get on my nerves, and I suspect most other people's here, is the white noise and intentionality surrounding these decisions in more recent times.

>Star Wars gets female leads across the board
>The Disney-approved glorified-blogosphere goes into overdrive with "RIGHT WING MISOGYNERDS BTFO", "IKCY BOYS WE'RE TAKING YOUR TOYS (what's a Star War?)", "YAAASSSSSS QUEEN SLAY", etc
>Some capeshit character gets racebent, "A VICTORY OVER THE OPPRESSIVE WHITE PATRIARCHY", "WE IRON MAN NOW", "WHITE CHILDREN DON'T DESERVE ROLE MODELS", "KILL ALL WHITE MEN", etc

No. I get upset when they're not in it due to artistic merit, because the writer wanted a rainbow of ethnicities, sexualities, genders, physical and mental spectrums rather than doing it to go "SEE? SEE? WE'RE NOT RACIST". Even the fucking BBC had an article on the 10 O Clock news going "LOOK HOW DIVERSE IT IS. IF IT SUCEEDS IT WILL MAKE THE DIVERSITY OF HOLLYWOOD GO FASTAH!" I shit you not.

I want good characters. Good cinematography. Good set design. Good music. Good sound. Good pacing. Good stories.

I don't want shit everything, but by fuck we have every colour under the sun so it's good or YOU'RE A SEXIST RACIST CISHITLORD SCUM PISSBABY.

I just want good films. But these films have a clear agenda. Had the narrative not been about such things in the media, I'd have given it a go, but the media is obsessed with picking up X and Y and running with it.

I'm not even sure what Rogue One is about. Something to do with the side-story between ANH and RotJ or ESB and ANH? Or what?

to die as a domestic terrorist bc your presidential candidate didn't get elected apparently
