god damn it was amazing hearing Trent Reznor live last summer. I can't believe he's still got it all the years.
Christian Rodriguez
When he's gonna tour again? Did he played I can't give everything away?
Benjamin Baker
Yeah he played it at Riot Fest last summer when he headlined. It was so surreal.
Oliver Diaz

Plebs not realizing that the best song on PHM is The Only Time and on the Fragile is the Big Come Down

I like The Big Come Down it's just not my favorite track.

>Down in It was not prepared for that to be an answer desu
Don't you love those double bass drums that drive the beat of the song, contrasted with all the synth stuff and the rap/punk vocals?
Ian Lopez
All of my answers would be different if I had to give my favorite live version of each song off each album. Seriously some songs take a life of their own live.
Asher Diaz
PHM anniversary tour when?
Landon Mitchell
I don't think Trent really likes that album considering he plays hardly anything off it anymore. Isn't that album tangled up in legal disputes with record labels to this day or is that something else?
Dominic Long
Because the rapping is a bit cringey at parts and the sampling of the "oh oh" from the audience is super dated and corny. It's not an inherently bad song but the way it appears on the album is just not good. Least favorite track.
Matthew Nelson
Year Zero is the best NIN album

Maybe if they remade all of the songs like that killer new version of sanctified
Charles Ross
The dated is part of the charm. How can you listen to any of that album without appreciating the datedness? The rapping is corny? To me it's got a punk feel to it that saves it from being as corny as a song like That's What I Get which is completely genuine corniness. (Still love that song too though)
Parker Baker
Patrician list.
Noah Williams
The album may be dated in that it definitely sounds like the 80's, but it has a very unique sound and mood. Down In It breaks that mood. The samples remind me of some sort of cheesy techno dance track, not like the dark synthpop goodness of the rest of the album. When Tront remastered the album I was hoping he'd do away with the samples the most. The rapping isn't inherently bad, but his delivery is corny as fuck on the original. The album sounds like a product of its time but is still enjoyable today, whereas much of Down In It doesn't work nowadays at all. It ruins the flow of the album, I often skip it. I don't think That's What I Get is corny, a bit goofy but there's a desperation and energy to it (and especially Trent's vocals) that Down In It lacks. I think it's cause it seems like he's trying too hard to be cool, and that rapping style nowadays is too reminiscent of things like the Fresh Prince, which doesn't fit with the dark lyrical themes.
Dominic Ramirez
Down In It and Head Like a Hole fit together mood wise perfectly in my opinion, but I can't really argue your very well written opinion beyond that. I've never seen someone stick up for That's What I Get but I think that's awesome that you do haha.
I think part of my love for that song is it's one of the only nine inch nails songs that gets on the radio around here in Boston, so it was always exciting to hear it when I was younger and didn't have access to all of nin's music, but still loved them.
Parker Foster

Wait what the fuck what station? I (the guy you've been replying to) am from the area and I've only ever heard Head Like a Hole and edited versions of Closer on the radio before (granted I don't listen to the radio anymore)
Logan Cook
I couldn't even tell you. I haven't listened to the radio in ages, but I used to hear Down In It, Hurt, Closer, Head Like a Hole (this very rarely), and Capital G when YZ first dropped.

Neither is The Fragile. The most rappresentative songs om fragile are not Somehow Damaged, the wretched or we're in this together but the fragile, la mer ecc.

I've been listening to it non-stop recently, there's so much enjoyment to listening to it.
