What is British Culture Sup Forums?

This is something that has been brought up in my politics lecture and no one was able to give a serious answer

Colonising non whites

inbreeding and poor dental health

Shit food

Tea and biscuits with ugly women and shitty weather while mopping around like a bunch of edgy cynical depressed teenagers.

I need an answer that will stop people from saying "well you don't have culture so it doesn't matter if immigrants come here because no culture is being diluted."

>Lucy Pinder
muh dick

Brutal mate.

>poor dental health
Shit meme, we have better dental health than America

>Being a waste of fucking land

Just tell them that we do have culture but its not easy to really tell what it is. Ask a muslim from the middle east what their culture is and they will also be dumbfounded. To know what your culture is you have to explore other cultures first to see what makes yours different.

Isn't British culture just Islamic culture?

I remember someone summed it up here really well before but I can't remember what they said, should've saved it.

>Trying to fit in

Its impossible to answer because It has been eradicated.

They look like aliens?

England in the Tudor Age :)

Forever British culture was civilization itself.

The idea of a civilized world, with manners and propriety was their major export. Wealthy people around the world would ship their sons and daughters to England to learn how to be "proper."

Combined with high educational standards, the English culturally were the most snobbish and elite people on earth. And with an expansive empire, they had every justification for their behaviors.

But now, after 75-100 years of crippling socialist degeneration, there's no appeal to the British. They're just another crass, media obsessed middle class people.

Page 3 tit girls are the only thing useful to ever come from Anglos.

the queen and commonwealth

The Anglo-Saxon concept of rule of law, stretching from the time of Tacitus to the Magna Carta to the formation of the world's first Parliament that emphases the individual over the collection.

The empirical tradition of Hume, Locke, Darwin that looks for evidence based reasoning that begun the scientific method.

A stoicism in the face of tragedy and poor-odds best exemplified in the British resistance to the Nazi's and enduring the blitz.

A love of liberty and resistance to tyranny coupled with a proud military history, represented in the opposition to Napoleon, the Kaiser and Hitler, as well the British Empire's involvement in ending international slavery.

An emphasis on private property and individual ownership 'An Englishman's home is his castle' that made us (and continues to make us) one of the financial capitals in the world.

A love of literature and possession of one of the most flexible and expressive languages in the world. From Shakespeare to Milton, to John Dunn, and even to modern, non-british born writers like Salman Rushdie who have been inspired by it.

Finally traditional English culture and pastimes. Drinking tea. Gardening. The beautiful rolling green hills of our countryside - 'Englands pleasant pastures' of William Blake's poetry. You could also invoke England Christian heritage, it's beautiful chapels and cathedrals.

Man it's not hard OP. Invoke your patriotism! What do you love about this country?

m.youtube.com/watch?v=PzP1XC51kro

Been trying to formulate something like this.

>Forever British culture was civilization itself.
>The idea of a civilized world, with manners and propriety was their major export. Wealthy people around the world would ship their sons and daughters to England to learn how to be "proper."

>An emphasis on private property and individual ownership 'An Englishman's home is his castle' that made us (and continues to make us) one of the financial capitals in the world.

To add to this, Adam Smith, author of ' the wealth of nations' was English, essentially meaning that we invented modern capitalism.

This chap knows.

>what is british culture
doing pills and sniffing ket on weekends

Brit culture is inbreeding.

Beady to the bone

Anglo culture means killing Aryans in order to consume their blood

Spot on.

I feel that American culture, at least in principle, is the distillation of British culture and wish you guys all the best in maintaining it against the muslim hordes and socialist fools.

>the formation of the world's first Parliament that emphases the individual over the collection

Where were you when you found out that the destruction of our peoples was started by the Eternal Anglo?

Good, better not start appropriating Scottish culture by doing coke.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_prevalence_of_cocaine_use

british values old and new, by no means unique to britain, and variously under threat:

parliamentary democracy
liberty-based, common law system as opposed to the continental model of the law serving the state
a concept of fair play ("how would you like it if someone did that to you?")
manners
placing some importance in chasteness (this one's almost entirely dead)
self-effacing humour
minding your own business
desire to avoid confrontation
tendency to only act when provoked, rather than to provoke
respect and love of antiquities and predecessors
and all the liberties and comforts you take for granted

this list is far better though:

And that's all gone away now :^)

This is a good post.

That's all.

Anglo culture is White/Aryan genocide

>Implying there are enough rich people in Scotland to do coke

Mcat is where it's at now lads.

Stunning achievements in literature, art, philosophy and architecture that make the nigger races cry and rage in envy

>(((socialist)))

Its harder to define in the physical than it is the abstract and intangible. I think this is something you have to look at from an outside perspective.

Whenever you brits describe us, you view us as loud, boisterous and overly friendly without any sense for boundaries.

If I had to describe how British people seemed to me, you seem more reserved in one sense. Alot of dry and wry wit, but very saucy at times if you look at bantz humor. One might say more uptight but it seems to me British people are more soulfully reflective and introverted to a degree, but more logic based as opposed to more fantasy-escapist like the French

As for physical/material culture this is reflected alot in your media. You gave us the Beatles, Monty Python, Blackadder, and many many actors and actresses that have made it to Hollywood. On the other hand, British pub culture could be considered the ancestor to the American Bar culture. Alcohol is another component which seems to define you. Whiskey and Gin could be considered two quintessentially British spirits. Whiskey is one which we have inherited as seen in our southern style bourbons much like English style Ales have influenced our brewing industry to some sense.

Sorry if this is a rambling mess but DESU British culture is more of a close relative to American culture than we care to admit

>Anglos
>not subhuman savages

Negroes > Anglos

British culture doesn't exist, unless you consider London culture "British" culture in which it is not very native to these lands these days anyway. English/Scottish/Welsh culture exists, however.

>Whenever you brits describe us, you view us as loud, boisterous and overly friendly without any sense for boundaries.

lol what?

Britain has always been inhabited by so many different cultures that it's kind of hard to say what "British culture" is.

Drinking.
Drugs.
Going to the local chippy.
Fighting.
Footie.
Tea and crumpets.

HALAL BISMILLAH

Multi-culturalism is our culture I guess. All of the stiff-upper lip, God save the Queen stuff was decades ago.

fuck off owen

These dipshits genocide themselves as well and they don't even see it. Even now the best they can muster up are civic nationalist cucks.

This.
British culture is hard to define since British culture is civilised living at it's core. Such cultures -as you said- like Scottish, English or Welsh can be easier to define.

WOOOO YEEEHAWWW BUDDY

Go on Sup Forums thats basically how they think of us stereotypically, We're basically all texans and New Yorkers to them

>Sup Forums stereotypes by pop-culture.
>Sup Forums stereotypes by the biggest minority of countries.

not necessarily multi-culturalism as much as it is cultural acceptance/tolerance and adaptation. its kinda like us and the italians to you guys and the indians. We hate them but fuck it if we dont have a love for their ethnic food

Gun-loving overindulging fat hillbillies is the stereotyping of Americans unfortunately. That and the thugs.

British culture is greater than the sum of its parts.

Remove everything British/Anglo/Commonwealth even over the last century and you understand what British culture is, only it'll be gone

tl;dr greater than the sum of its parts

WESTERN CIVILIZATION.

Although now that I think of it, the ritual of making/sharing tea is still ever present. That hasn't gone away.

>having a nice cuppa when you get in
>having a nice cuppa while watching TV or browsing the internet
>offering to make a nice cuppa for whoever else is present when you put the kettle on
>inviting your mate in for a cuppa whenever they're passing by.

Glorious.

Sup Forums stereotypes by what it sees in the streets. Everything always looks better and more glamorous on the Telly than it is in real life.

Big guys for you (frogs)

kek this one got me

You missed pan- asian railways and steam engines Pajeet, you seem to be using our cast-offs well enough

Emphasis on discovery.

Look at the list of British inventions, we've built the modern world.

Which particular British culture?
There are literally dozens of British cultures, not just one.

The culture in Stornoway will be very different to that in Westminster.

The usual frankenstinian almaglam that ignores the individulal different ones. """UK""" culture might be a better term

Queuing, reserved politeness, social decorum, stiff upper lip.

What are european countries culture? French being lazy and eating garlic and taking 2 hour lunchbreaks? Germans getting up early and leaving their beach towels on the sunbeds?

Sounds like an attempt to subvert british norms and normalize mass immigration.

Maybe we should start hosting baccha bazi (boy fucking) parties like Afghans? That is their culture.

French culture is defined by a more artistic laissez-faire attitude. Kind of like why its more stereotypic for a french guy to be gay than a british one.

Basically:

British beef & logic

French Chicken and surrealism

German cold sausage

Our identity is slowly being diluted by Americanisms, I hope Brexit stops this autism.

No that paki down the road isn't British because he has a passport you retarded yanks.

Outside of music, Britain has no culture. You know it's true.

The form Champagne takes today has only come about because of three significant English developments.

Wine simply bottled before it has finished fermenting (methode rurale) naturally becomes fizzy, and this, somewhat hit-and-miss, method had been followed in France (and elsewhere, cf; 'Gooseberry Champagne' or Quick Ale) for generations. In 1662 the English scientist Christopher Merret presented a paper to the Royal Society in London explaining a more reliable method of making wine sparkle - this is the procedure which became known as methode champenoise and is now universally followed in the French region. It is not clear whether Merret invented the method or merely codified it, but he was certainly several years ahead of the French wine-maker monk Dom Perignon.

The second English contribution was the bottle. Around the same time as Merret, Sir Robert Mansell's factories in Newcastle-on-Tyne were able to make the first glass bottles strong enough to safely withstand the pressure of a sparkling wine.

The third English contribution was when Perrier-Jouët, in response to demands from their English dealers, prepared an unsweetened 'brut' Champagne specifically for the British market. This is the style of wine which is now known as 'Champagne' the world over.

Fuck off we're like you yanks.

Funny that because we've been sending our failed comedians and entertainers to your shores for literally decades now and you cunts fucking lap it up.

Seriously, John Oliver is a complete failure here but AMERICANS LOVE HIM.

not*

Nah id say the dilution comes from globalisim and the international jew basically wanting to consolidate Europe into an indistinguishable mass like US without taking centuries of history into context.

Globalisim kills identity culture

yuup pretty much sums up american view.
have good comedy though
rip top gear*

True, im guessing the reason is because the nhs covers everything but the cosmetic side of things, because its a waste of taxpayers money, which is how people judge it.

POO IN LOO

The left cucks love him. Hes basically a parrot for the left with his material written by sexually repressed SJWS. The big reason why he got successful there and on the Daily Show is because gullible Americans believe that a well dressed individual talking in a British accent is somehow automatically wise and smart.

...

hooligans!
all of you hooligans!
m.youtube.com/watch?v=FwZ4AUOAgDA

What does that say about your average left leaning American though?

I am sorry that this slimy piece of shit escaped and ended up in the USA.

Please forgive us.

Thank god Russell Brand's career is almost dead after his foray into politics. The dildo told people not to vote in the general election but told everyone to vote Labour in the end anyway.

All the songs you don't know and the dances you can't dance and the stories you can't tell.

Your culture has been killed by the entertainment industry, like all white culture.

\So what do brits think when they hear a American go on teamspeak or equivalent and be all like cheerio m8 tea and crumpets and call out mummy when you attack them for mocking you. Does it cause butthurt?

Pinder is God tier

It says that they're lemmings easily swayed by glitz and emotion like most cunts.

This brings me to another topic. Your men seem to have an obsession with our women for some reason. Both Oliver and Prince Harry have hard ons for American women.

You are forgiven, so long as you take Trevor Noah.

No but what isn't ironic is how deep nigger culture is in yours

>Waits until registration has closed to flip what he said and bottle it with VOTE LABOUR

Fucking creased when that happened, I bet he cut himself when Tories got in

>The empirical tradition of Hume, Locke, Darwin that looks for evidence based reasoning that begun the scientific method.
ya ya, forgot the greeks, not to mention Descartes and many before him.

>as well the British Empire's involvement in ending international slavery.
Might as well not start international slavery in the first place to begin with.

You guys have something really cool though: since you have shitty weather all year along, you have developed a whole 'gardening' culture that is really nice.
Great writers too, very creative: A.C. Doyle, etc

Creativity, quirkiness, irreverence, celebrating individuality and dark humour are the quintessential traits of British culture.

We're odd. From our stupid TV programs through to weird customs like tea and biscuits. We praise uniqueness and silliness in equal amounts.

To be British is to join the back of a long queue, make a sarcastic comment to which your fellow Brits will snort with an agreeing laugh, then queue patiently anyway because a free for all would be unbecoming.
